Fantasy! March Madness Tourney Update

Post#1 » by mjhp911 » Fri Sep 17, 2010 3:56 am

It's that time of year again, folks. Please use this as the initial sign up sheet for the board's fantasy leagues. I'll list the previous qualifiers and winners from the past season in the next few days. Those who have qualified for the leagues WILL get sent their invites. As per usual, please be patient while we sort everything out.

As things are never static, I want to get everyone's opinions about maybe considering using a different site to host the leagues, by that I mean NBA.com, or ESPN, or some other site that might be better than Yahoo. My preference would be to stay on Yahoo, as all our settings and data on past winners and finishers are saved for future reference. We've also been used to their system for almost a decade now. Gimme's the pros and cons of other sites, it might make sense to switch at some point.

I made the switch to ESPN 2 years ago and I'm loving it. If you haven't experienced the ESPN drafting process your going to be in for a treat. I've started an ESPN league on here and Im sure the fellas are gonna love it. I would also like to get down with our board's official fantasy league so count me down for any openings..

I was wondering when you were going to start the sign-ups.

I have been playing at cbssports.com for a while now and I like it. It's a different format, but it's not bad at all. But, ESPN.com is the better one. If you stick with Yahoo.com it wouldn't be a bad thing either. They have been improving the fantasy leagues pages every season.

I am in once again. I prefer yahoo simply because my mac has had problems in the past drafting through ESPN. But I am sure that is because of settings on my end that I could probably fix if necessary.

H2H please. Also, I vote for yahoo but only because i'm a creature of habit. If you twisted my arm, i'll use any site to demonstrate how much more basketball I know than the rest of you. :starwars

I understand everyones reluctance to switch over to a new site, I shared the same sentiment at first. But after I forced myself to do it (For a money league) I never went back. I can hold a Mock Draft for those who would like to get an idea of the drafting feature on ESPN. This Mock Draft would be exactly like the real thing except no one keeps their teams and there is no league. The Mock Draft would be for the sole purpose to strategize in drafting and to enjoy process.
