I'm a huge fan of Ed Davis. I think he is going to be very productive. Only reason he was so low was because of a wrist injury.

Hayward is going to play the shooting guard spot in the NBA. Besides, when you have D'Antoni, the only position that's really set in stone is PG. Everybody else will play more than 1 position. I think if we had our pick this year, we would have taken him.
The Knicks are back.

None. You can't teach size, athleticism or heart. Mozgov may not be as good as some, but he could be better. I want to see him develop before trading him.

Hayward won't be able to guard the quick 2s.

With the coach we have now, I think both Hayward and Monroe would get playing time ahead of Mozgov, so I would take the trade off.

for me a 7 footer who can move like he does dont come aorund 2often i would just deal him 4 monroe out of wall of those guys you lised..

People are saying that had Mozgov been in this draft that he'd be a top 15 pick for sure. That and considering that he's a center (a position the Knicks need the most) it would be hard to move him for any of these guys.

Greg Monroe and Paul George (who can shoot, is athletic, has strong upside and would give the Knicks a big SG option) would be who I'd consider. MAYBE Al Fariq Aminu (who's got some Anthony Randolph like skills) if I wanted to gamble with upside.

I'll pass on everyone else on that list.

Udoh was drafted WAY TOO HIGH. Not a fan of Xavier Henry at all (he's a thick bodied jumpshooter). Ed Davis doesn't have enough of an all around package to make it worthwhile. Aldrich? I think if Mozgov played in the NCAA he'd be a better prospect at the same position. Patrick Patterson has all the makings of the next Brandon Bass, Craig Smith (short, strong, offensively skilled) type PF (good off the bench but not great).

Cole Aldrich

He's a dirty player...ny type of guy

Good pick up by the Thunder

However, like Moz-illa...he will be good for us when he learns the NBA more.

How about just keep Mozgov and see what he can do for us?

Gordan Hayword a bust????

:nonono:

I wish we had our pick this season and we drafted Hayword. He's going to end up being a very good player.

Udoh injured himself on first day of workout & will be lost for half the season.

There are also reports out of Toronto that Ed Davis "tweaked" his knee.

Greg Monroe and Aldrich - and Aldrich only because I fear Sam Presti and figure everything he does is probably the correct move.

People talk about the NCAA tournament that some of these guys had... but Mos just played in the Worlds and more than held his own in almost every game. IMO, that is much stiffer competition. Other guys on that list may have better careers but as of now none of them have shown more already and/or have better physical tools, imo.

I'll take the guy at the position we need over the others...

I think that is a good comparison but Mosgov will have better offense. It's ugly as sin, I know, but his shots seem to go in. He REALLY needs to work on cutting down his fouls though.

Say Mozgov would have been available in this years draft, he would have been a lottery pick right?

I hate threads like this. Mozgov hasn't even played one game for the Knicks yet, and none of these other dudes have played any NBA games yet either...

People drastically underrate the level of talent outside of this country. Not all Euro stars can make it here but when a young player puts up stats in the Euroleagues it bodes well for how he will do here... most of the busts were POTENTIAL based picks.

I mean, compare how Weis played in the World Championships and his stats in Europe vs. Mosgov. Two different stories.

This doesn't make any sense considering he's being compared to young prospects that everyone else is overrating around the same/even more. None of these guys have played in the NBA. At this point, it's all opinionated.
