Ha. Steve Kyler gets in on the act: The power has shifted to the people!

http://www.hoopsworld.com/Story.asp?STO ... um=twitter

Anyway, Doug Smith was asked about this in his blog today and had no comment, so Doug returns to his usual place behind the eight ball and out of touch.

The world is changing, Doug. We know where Hedo drinks, where Sonny and DeMar are chilling. You better believe that if something unusual happens to a Raptor player outside of an NBA arena, someone is going to have an item or a pic right here on Real GM.

The Force is with us.

Dagger shouldnt have started a new thread. The other one should have been re opened and this should have been a post.

Isnt that how it usually goes?

Dagger posted a tweet confirming it was true and if you read the other thread Donkeypunch says

"There are ramblings he hurt his knee, and was at .mount sinai today getting an mri. Can anyone confirm or deny?"

He wasnt throwing out rumours he was trying to find validity in a statement he heard.

Dagger just confirmed it and the other thread should continue.

Quit lockin **** so quick your killing this site.

Dude this site has become pretty **** over the last few months I don't know where you ahve been. Mods on power trips all day everyday, that's why I don't come by here that much anymore. They don't seem to see the fun of the Internet. It's like when you were in elementary school and there was always that kid who would go tell the teacher if anything was going awry. That kid became a mod on RealGM.

Fun? I guess if you're only into video-games. Really, the Internet is much more than that, and this site is more about communicating, information exchange, than merely "fun". Though I do find you entertaining in a Shrek-meets-Sacha Baron Cohen kind of way.

There is no need for you or anyone else to establish an extremely low common denominator that would render this board useless as an information/discussion tool.

Who's acting like kids? Mods or the kids whining that their Internet forum threads are being locked. It's like when you were in elementary school and the teacher picked one kid over another and the other kid starts to bawl his eyes out.

It's kind of funny when mods are accused of taking things too seriously, but its the kiddies that are always angry and ranting about locked threads on a messageboard.

I hear you buddy. I think a few people were trying to get to the bottom of it yesterday by civilly discussing the possibility of Davis having tweaked his knee. As long as a discussion is civil, it should be allowed to breathe. This is after all, a message board for amateurs, not fully credited reporters with the benefit of insider information.

Summer will always have the most locked threads because there are hardly any legit topics. Just as any ESPN "grade the team" articles should be locked too. Not discussion threads, but the articles themselves.

Anyways, season will be upon us soon.

Well then, I suggest you spend some of that dough on creating a competitive bball site and open as many threads as you want.

sump: Maybe I missed something...but wasn't the previous thread locked just due to lack of sources? That doesn't seem like something to get outraged over.

Edit: I am not going to retract my response but I still think this website is run with a Nazi-esque mentality and there are many who can agree but are afraid by the ePower that you moderators hold. I hope one day you will grow up to be a succesful individual IRL so you can brag to your wife and kids about how you did something productive and not about how you managed to get an Internet thread locked, or an individual banned on a forum

I know for some of you this is your life and for others it's a lifestlye. For me It's just me killing time and in all honesty it's time wasted majority of the time.

Remember next time when you pick up that mop and broom that you are cleaning my floor.

Rule 1: Don't get Sump mad lol

Honestly, mods can do whatever they want here. Why is it that like a few days ago, streams to bluejays games were allowed to be posted? If anyone did that here, we would be warned..no wait wait..suspended..no wait wait..banned. Mods, stop tripping, you all are tripping off the power. Alright im done with my small rant.
