NCAA Week 3 Thread

Post#1 » by LUKE23 » Mon Sep 13, 2010 3:44 pm

Ohio State -31.5 vs Ohio
Florida -17 @ Tennessee
USC -13.5 @ Minnesota
Texas -3 @ Texas Tech
Michigan State -3 vs. Notre Dame
Iowa -1 @ Arizona
Wisconsin -15.5 vs. Arizona State

Wow, I think that spread is too high for the Badgers. I'd be putting money on ASU to cover that.

Also think Tennessee covers (Florida is overrated as hell) and Iowa covers.

How is USC only favored by 13.5? I never bet on sports but that seems like easy money.

No way I'd take the Badgers. I'm not even confident they'll win the damn game.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I actually think Iowa is the no-brainer off of that list.

Were current Badgers players swapped with guys from Alabama? That is way too much of a spread for how mediocre they've looked so far.

Cowherd just said the Badgers are the 4th best team in the country, do you think he's watched either of their games this year?

**Disclaimer: I'm not trying to talk ****.

I think the Badgers are currently ranked about where they should be. Really, stupid miscues and turnovers have prevented us from dropping around 50 and 40 in the first two games, respectively. But that has to be a strike against them until proven otherwise.

Cowherd just said he's going to be at Memorial Union next Monday so maybe he was playing to Badger fans. I agree though I think they are ranked accurately. They have all the parts the just need to execute better.

Any word on Gilreath? Any chance he comes back this week?

I'm guessing they hold him out maybe until the Big Ten opener, but who knows.

Agreed.

Not sure if USC covers despite how bad Minnesota is, because USC isn't that great either.

Iowa covers.

Texas covers.

Is Michigan State at home? Either way I think they cover.

Did you watch the Florida games against Miami (OH) and South Florida? Because I did and Florida looked like **** for the majority of both games.

Looked like *** for a Florida team, but still won each game by 20+ points.

I'm not saying it won't happen, I wouldn't put money on it though. The spread is in the neighborhood of of where it should be, it's not one of those "what the hell kind of line is that?" things.

And I like my sig too much. :P

I'm really hoping the Big Ten beats the Pac-10 this weekend. I have a bunch of Pac-10 friends from my time at Gonzaga and they always give me **** about the Big Ten being an overrated conference. I know Minnesota has almost zero chance to beat USC, so I'm going to be pulling for Wisconsin and Iowa big time. I'll even be cheering for Nebraska against Washington. Hopefully Wisconsin, Iowa, Nebraska all win handily and Minnesota keeps it within 10 against USC. I'd be pretty happy if that happened.

My cousin goes to Arizona, so I will be rooting for them. :)
