Jays 2011 Schedule Released

Looks like we'll be playing the Twins on Friday April 1, 2011 to open the season at home. Doc Halladay returns on Canada Day which will be the biggest series of the season likely.

The Blue Jays’ 2011 season will open on a Friday, April 1, at home against the Minnesota Twins.

The Jays are in town for six days to open the season, with the Oakland A’s following the Twins at the Rogers Centre.

The New York Yankees, baseball’s biggest road draw, are in for a two-game series April 19-20.

A three-game interleague series with Philadelphia and former ace Roy Halladay will start on Canada Day. This year’s series with the Phillies was moved to Philadelphia because of the G20 summit.

The Jays will be on the road for the majority of their interleague games. The club plays in Cincinnati, Atlanta and St. Louis just prior to the home series with Philadelphia.

Huge kudos to MLB scheduling team for giving the Jays another shot at hosting the Phillies.. I hope Halladay will be healthy and able to pitch in that series!!!

not sure I'd want him pitching against us lol. I think I'll settle for him just being there to be honored and be given a standing ovation

You gotta hope Halladay's turn comes up, it would be too much fun to miss. I know the Jays starters would love to beat him. The problem with trying to get tickets for that particular game is that Philly rain-outs could mess up their rotation.

Oh well getting tickets to Jays games isn't usually a challenge on the day of a game anyway.

The 3 interleague series on the road are a problem. jays don't play well interleague. Likely go about 2 and 7 unless they turn this around next year.

How is it our interleague schedule has been so tough.. With the division we play in you'd think they might give us a bit of a break. Pirates anyone?
