The Blue Jays’ 2011 season will open on a Friday, April 1, at home against the Minnesota Twins.
The Jays are in town for six days to open the season, with the Oakland A’s following the Twins at the Rogers Centre.
The New York Yankees, baseball’s biggest road draw, are in for a two-game series April 19-20.
A three-game interleague series with Philadelphia and former ace Roy Halladay will start on Canada Day. This year’s series with the Phillies was moved to Philadelphia because of the G20 summit.
The Jays will be on the road for the majority of their interleague games. The club plays in Cincinnati, Atlanta and St. Louis just prior to the home series with Philadelphia.
