It's kind of fun to look back at the first post of this thread, but depressing at the same time....

I'll try to keep the stats updated as best I can (hopefully about once a week or so). There aren't really many to go on right now, as a lot of the affiliates haven't started their seasons yet.

We've got a lot of pitching that's major league ready, or close to it, in the high minors. Most of our higher ceiling position prospects (Parmalee, Benson) are recently drafted and still quite far from helping the major league club. If somebody isn't listed that you'd like to see, feel free to say so. If someone not listed breaks out, then I'll add them. I'll do my best to keep up with promotions/demotions as well.

I can't wait to see what Hicks and Sano will do in the pros.

this is too funny. do the Twins also have a minor league -P- named Mitch Berger or an -SS- named Robert Griffith?

Same here. I'm guessing Hicks will be up in the next 2-3 years, and for Sano it will be about 3-5 years. Obviously still a ways away for both of them, but both of them have sky high potential. Sano has about as much potential as any prospect in the league.

Hicks seems to be pretty advanced in some areas already, his plate discipline is really good so even if he is a .270ish hitter in the majors he'll get on base a lot, and he could potentially be an epic base stealer. It will be interesting to see how the Twins develop him. Will he be developed into the leadoff role (high OBP, base stealing capabilities) or more of a middle of the order guy? He has good bat speed so he certainly has the potential to develop some pop.

Sano has epic bat speed. I've only seen small snippets of his hitting but he looks like a man among boys at 17 years old. He has some mechanical flaws in his swing but the raw power potential is there. It should also be interesting to see what defensive role they groom him into. In the GCL he seemed to share time at both shortstop and third base. Most say he won't last at shortstop long term because of his size and projection to add even more size. I would like to see him at 3rd base rather than the other possibility though (corner outfield) just because we really need that big infielding bat.

I'm not sure if Valencia has any chance of impacting Sano's defensive position long term, we'll see. Valencia has been really good this year though, hopefully he can continue to hit around .300 with some pop.

Might as well just bring them up now.
