Offense sucks. How many runners stranded in scoring position with less than 2 outs?
Fat Elvis better be left off the post season roster. Guy is f'ing terrible.

bad, bad, loss. MO blows the save, how often does that happen? and then with a chance to put the game away, berkman bounces into a double play, guy has been nothing but a bum since he has been here, and then we give up the run to lose in the next inning.. with the rays losing, we threw away a huge opportunity to go up 1.5 games...

Guy has been nothing but a bum since he got here? You guys realize he's hitting .286 with a .382 OBP? He does what he's asked to do, hit the ball and get on base.
And how did Girardi throw this game? He can't go out there and make the Yankees hit with RISP, he can't go out there and throw for Mo. I mean it isn't like the Tampa game where he throw Gaudin and Mitre.

Why can't A-Rod play today? I mean, are the Yanks giving him the Manny treatment? That is, he can't finish a series without fear that his hamstring is going to snap or some other part of his body? Giving every one an off day cost the Yanks going up 1.5 on Tampa.
They BETTER be ready for a 4 game set at Yankee stadium vs. the Rays...This decides the division in my opinion.

Agree completely. Berkman has been good especially since he came back from injury. He is a good lefty hitter who can't hit right handed. In the playoffs he shouldn't have to. He will play against righties and Thames will start against the lefties. And Girardi did nothing wrong tonight. Resting ARod is smart at this point. We are still in first with the biggest series of the year coming up.
