It's Bears Week!

Post#1 » by MickeyDavis » Mon Sep 20, 2010 7:53 pm

Although only game 3 it's great to have a game with sole possession of first place on the line. Lots of Bears boards out there and here are a few posts from today:

I got my tixs and ready to fly in for the game!! Its gonna become a MNF classic.

Go BEARS!!

Where ever you fly back to is going to suck. You will have no leg room, hung over from drowning your loss of self-esteem from the bears embarrassing loss. You will have a cracking headache from all the booze you consume to try and wash away the depression that sets in.

You will wake up with dreams for a week of Clay Matthews laying licks on Cutler sending the ball skyward for Woodson to take pick 6's....

Rodgers to Finley, Rodgers to Jennings, Rodgers to Driver, Rodgers to Jones, Rodgers to Nelson....

It's going to be a nightmare for you. Then you will look at your credit card and realize that it wasn't worth the trip.

Sucks to be all you cocky bear fans that think it is worth $1000's of dollars to go see a football game, only to see your beloved team get their butts kicked for the 1000th time.

Cheers.

2010 Green Bay Packers finish 13-3, sweeping the Bears, Lions and Vikings. Aaron Rodgers finishes season with higher QB rating than Jay Cutler, Bears finish no higher than 7-9. Jermichael Finley scores 5 more TD's than Greg Olsen. Clay Matthews has more Sacks than Orange Julius Peppers.

Is Jay Cutler the next Uncle Rico?

Martz will figure Capers out, and it will start raining scores, as the Packers secondary gets scortched.

Fear the Cutler. He is no longer handcuffed by the incompetent Turner. In his last 4 starts he has thrown for 1200 yards and 13 tds. And he is looking to make his triumphant return to soldier.

Besides, the Bears are far more familiar with your defensive scheme, than you guys are with our "

Let's see how Bulaga (T-rex, not because of size but his short, short arms) holds up against Peppers.

Dont hate cause your Puckers are gonna be embarassed worst than the Cowgirls were on Sunday..

Watching a game to hear you moan about it next week is worth the tix.. Trust me ...

Its okay, he's just mad cause he found out that the price of his sheep, Rodgers' jersey and his JohnDeer won't get even a ticket to even a lousy Lambo game..

Ahh I love the hatas cause just when you think your life is bad it could be worse - you could be them :)

GO BEARS@!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! screw the pack, they are not that good..come peppers knocked the heck out of him... lets that first place in the divison

the Packers still SUCK

Bears' D brought the wood today. I hope they sloberknocker any Pack players who go over the middle

The Green Bay Packers: 5 decades of sucking with no end in sight.

YOU_LOST_TO_THE_LIONS_AND_YOU_KNOW_IT!!!!!

This is what it's all about. Packers suck! So much pent up rage having had to grow up in Packer country (born in Chicago). And then have my own father come out of his Packer closet when we moved up there. He raised me on Bears football, but still loved the Packers. Of course, he was born in Packer country. I still haven't forgiven him. And I'm proud to say I never once sold out when living up there. Packers suck!

Oh and for all you Packer fans:

This quote is priceless given how much success the Bears have had over that time frame.

My early feeling on this game is the Bears get a dose of reality.

I actually think it's kinda good that the Bears are 2-0 from our perspective,if the Bears were going in 0-2 or even 1-1 I could see this maybe being a let down game for the Packers.

We won't take them lightly at 2-0.

It will be close at Chicago, IMO. I do think the Packers match up well with the Bears though. The Packers major advantages:

1. Our DL/Matthews vs. their OL
2. Our secondary vs. their WR/TE
3. Our WR/TE vs. their secondary

The one worry I do have in this game is their front 7 getting after Rodgers quite a bit. Peppers is a stud and they have just shut down the middle of the field so far this year (1.4 YPC allowed). We're going to have to keep Rodgers upright because Jackson will be a non factor. However, I see us hitting Cutler a ton and doing just enough on offense to survive. I see Packers by 7. We need to win the TO battle in this game, and I like our chances at getting Cutler to cough one or two up.

I thought this one was too funny...

well long story short... Chicago has no open public restrooms in that museum area during the winter so I ended up peeing on the side of their toilet bowl of a stadium.

Lambeau is a toilet bowl? What does that make Soldier Field? You have realistic Bears fans that realize this will be a tough game and then the ones in those quotes. God bless 'em, it makes this whole thing real fun.

Soldier Field is a complete dump. I've never seen so much urine in a sink in my life. I wonder how many of those Bears fans have actually been to Lambeau since the renovation. Place is amazing.

My reservations regarding this game revolve around the changes the Bears made versus the Cowgirls. They went away from the seven step drops to short, 10 yard passes and Cutler wasn't bothered much after that. They could do the same thing vs Green Bay.

Capers is gonna have to continue to move Matthews around. We have to get pressure up the middle with Raji, Neal and Jenkins. Woodson and the boys are gonna have to take away what they can underneath.

Game will be decided by who can get a bigger pass rush, IMO.

Bulaga (or Clifton if he plays) has to hold up against Peppers and Matthews has to get to Cutler.

I'm definitely a little bit concerned about this game. I think we are definitely a better team than the Bears, but that place will be jacked up because it's Monday night primetime and nobody expected the Bears to be 2-0. I don't think we'll be awarded the luxury of being able to rebound from lapses like we had in the second half in Philly and the second quarter against Buffalo.

Pressure Cutler and get Rodgers in rhythm early.

If the Lions can win at Soldier Field..well should have won at Soldier Field I feel pretty good about our chances.

Like Luke said the big thing is protecting Rodgers.

I see Matthews terrorizing the hell out of Cutler and our secondary cashing in big,if Rodgers gets protection and has a big game I don't see this game being very close.

It's going to be a brutally long wait to get to this game, especially with a crap Badger game this weekend.

Gives us an extra day to get healthy so, so can't complain.

Such a huge game for week 3. Bears have a pretty soft schedule through the first half (as do we), so it would be nice to not be trailing them early.

You never know what to expect from Peppers, he rarely goes all out for a whole game. He has one tackle and one sack through 2 games. But a gimpy Clifton and/or rookie at LT going up against him scares the hell out of me. We'll have to have a TE or RB double him at least some of the time.

I'd keep Crabtree in the backfield to help on a lot of passing downs.

McCarthy said if Clifton is "healthy" he'll start.

Has there been any word on if Neal will play? After seeing Wilson play well in junk time I'm excited to see what he can do. It would be huge for this defense if our D-Line can get a solid pass rushers at all three spots. I think Raji is on his way to being there and Jenkins obviously already is there if Neal can be that 3rd pass rusher it would be great.
