OT: 8 years in Realgm

Post#1 » by FJS » Tue Sep 21, 2010 2:44 pm

I still remember when I begin in Realgm

My first name was FranJazzSpain and I was banned due to some post in Lakers forum about Kobe and his f*cking arrogant face...
Then I came back as FJS in memory as my original nick.

8 years... this was the last year of Stockton and Malone...
I was only 22 by the time. I have seen a ton of things, like as I said, last year of S&M, the first spaniard in Jazz uni as Raúl López, bad times in the first sesion of Boozer and Memo (26 wins), better times in WCF in 2007...

And Sloan, for sure.

8 years in which I have improved a lot my english, thank all of you, because I have read a lot and I learned some expressions. I know I still i'm difficult to understand, but overall I'm pretty better than in 2002...

8 years in which my life have changed a lot.

Oh... all good memories.

I don't know if I will retire here. I don't post as I did those days, but I still read every day those forums, and I use to post.

Do you think you'll remain posting here?

I found the site and started posting the Summer we drafted Deron Williams. I was looking for various rumors of who we we draft between him and Paul.

I had a similar experience, in that I was banned and came back. I started in 03 tho.

Rookies.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

Lol, I started in 2001. Was never banned but I took a hiatus from the site and could not remember my username/password from then.

I'm about a month away from my 4th realgm birthday. I need to petition the admins to delete all the Nasty News threads. Those were cheating!

Joined realgm in 2005 after reading for one year and seeing the Jazz board was not as good as it could be. I was a mod of this board for a while. I got asked by howard mass to step down as mod when someone complained that I personally attacked them during a flame war thread. I took some years off because I really enjoyed being a mod of this board and I needed to just step away for a while, then came back to this board a few years ago. Jazz have come along way since that season....

almost 9 yrs........ I can't even imagine the number of posts I would have if I could post from work :D For what ever reason I can only read

The best thing about this joint is getting news long before it hits the press.
I haven't been banned..........yet :P

Yeah I've been around for a while too - hardly ever post, unless something makes me really mad.

Lots of different people here now...but still a great place to find out what's new with the Jazz from fellow fans' perspectives

Nope...Storm replaced me, then disappeared for a year, then came back and was again made a Mod, then disappeared indefinitely.

Storm was interesting....I wonder why he left.....

I think we lost a lot of good posters season before last (mainly KingofEverything) but there has been a pretty good rebound. I have been here since the 2005-06 season and I remember my first post being about how the Jazz should sign Jamal Crawford and getting flamed by woodmanjazzfan. :)

Started my senior year of highschool with a bunch of celtics fans telling me about it! I love living in Rhode Island and being able to talk to my fellow Jazzmen!

I was in Minnesota when I signed up, so yeah, it makes it nicer as an out of state fan. Even though Minnesota has a team they were terrible and everyone around me liked Hockey during the winter.
