If they could get Jeffries and a filler for him I say go for it. I don't think Igoudala would be a great fit on the Rockets though. It's difficult to say what the Rockets need because they are basically set at every position, but they don't have any superstar players. They are similar to the Pistons championship team in that aspect.

I would personally like to see a Brooks for Melo trade. A pass first pg is one thing that would benefit the Rockets since the Rockets already have a bunch of scorers.

Sam Amick has a man crush on Kevin Martin. Amick used to be the beat writer for the Kings so I'd be more inclined to think that rumor was true. In any event I'd offer to drive Kevin to Colorado myself if I can pick up Melo and take him back.

I know you guys have big plans for Kevin Martin, but I'd take Melo all day over Martin.

We're gonna need to cash in on our assets somehow, being 13-14 deep will hinder the development of our young guys.

I wouldn't. Maybe Westphal's system, but not Adelman's system. Martin is the perfect fit for the Rockets and trading Martin for Melo would have an effect on their chemistry. There's only one ball to go around and a volume shooter is the last thing the Rockets need right now.

I would rather stick with Martin. Melo is going to want the offense to run through him and the last think this offense needs is a ball stopper. Kevin has shown that he can get his in the flow of the offense, which is incredible for a 25 ppg scorer (when healthy). I just have a feeling that Melo would have the Tracy McGrady affect on everyone (a bunch of people standing around watching him dribble for 20 seconds).

I'm Kev's biggest fan, but I'm also his biggest critic. If I thought the trade was going to help the Rockets I would tell you. I was 100% for the Martin Landry trade and I thought it was a good trade for Sacramento.

I am stealing that link. That was the most powerful concussion I have received from the internets yet.

Yesterday's Cyanide and Happiness seems to relate to that video, too:
