Giants @ Cubs 9/21 - 9/23

Post#1 » by Wavy Q » Tue Sep 21, 2010 6:56 am

Well i felt like making a series thread, and i'm **** bored, so here it is :D

Tuesday, September 21st @ 5:05 PST

Image vs Image

Last time we faced Zambrano he **** on us, can we please just dump this washed up loser for 5 in the first? Wishful thinking i know, but i'd really like to see some runs put up against this lame. Cain's last outing was magnificent against the Dodgers, let's continue the trend of starters going deep, unlike in August.

Recap
well, that was pretty awful, no runs until the 8th inning, at least Cain threw a gem so we were able to win with very limited offense. Posey once again shows why he's everyone's favorite giant, Weezy came in and got an easy 1-2-3.

Wednesday, September 22nd @ 5:05 PST

Image vs Image

Stupid f*cking central timezone, who starts games at 5:00? Anyway, Sanchez' last outing was one of his best of this season, if not THE best, striking out 12, and walking 0, holy ****! Sanchez didn't walk anybody! He also only allowed 4 hits, Randy Wells is coming off a great outing against St. Louis, he went 8 strong and gave up only 1 earned run. I don't know much about this baby faced dude, but i'd like to slug him hard, no homo.

Thursday, September 23rd @ 4:05 PST

Image vs Image

Mad Bum pitched decently his last outing, he only went 5 2/3rds innings, but i blame the **** defense for forcing bochy to yank him early. It was about a month and a half ago that Mad Bum beat the Cubs as well, giving up 3 earned runs in 5 2/3rds, not exactly a masterpiece, but apparently we scored enough runs, so i'll go with it. Dempster has had 2 solid starts in his last outings, going for 14 shut out innings, Mad Bum's probably going to have to give up 1 run or less if we have a shot at winning against Dempster.

well thats that, i tried my hardest

I'm happy we won, but still, we've got to learn how to fcking score. This is getting ridiculous, I don't remember the last time we scored multiple times in a ballgame without hitting a homer. Rockies are gonna pound the sh*t out of us at Coors when we visit there if we don't figure out how to get strings of singles and doubles again.

Woo. Talk about a quick game

The bullpen is back to '09 form.

DBacks up 3-0 on the Rockies. Pads are going to beat the Dodgers. Braves lost.

Half game up on the Pads, half game back on the Braves

woo

The Giants 1-0 win Tuesday was their 15th straight game allowing 3 runs or fewer. That is tied for the 3rd-longest single-season streak in the live ball era.

Pitching, especially from the bullpen, has been great right now.

New guy in town. I've been lurking for a bit, but finally decided to join.

Giants pitching in really in a fantastic groove right now. The bats need to wake up.
