This really is going to be all about Koscheck. I get the impression that GSP thinks this is a waste of time and does not want to be there. Even after knock-out wins he did not get excited like the other two.

The thing is it is a complete waste of his time. He should be out there fighting and not coaching people who have zero shot of amounting to anything in the UFC.

It is bothering me even more after watching that episode that he will not fight for 8 months because of this dumb show.

Kos is a pain in the ass. I can't wait to see GSP destroy him once more and shut everyone the **** up. Just sucks that we have to wait so long to see it.

I thought some of the guys looked pretty good. LW seasons are usually decent in terms of fight quality.

The "this season on TUF" teaser at the end made it seem kind of weak drama wise though. Hopefully there are some interesting personalities. Bruce Leroy is a start.

As for GSP vs. Koscheck, I'm going to choose to believe that Kos has worked on his wrestling and stands a chance of sprawling and brawling, if only to keep my interest in the long buildup to the fight.

I hoping at least they have one guy that has a potential to be a title contender in the future. The last few winners of the show haven't done much in the UFC so far.

LOL Just watching the show now.

2nd fight in, as they hold up the "Round 1" card, they used LAST seasons clip for it, the top of the cage has blue writing with "TEAM LIDDEL" rather than Kos or GSP (which you see 1 second later when they cut back to the fight).

I never spot stuff like that usually!

Looks like it'll be a fun season to watch. My roommate is friends with Brookins so I'm rooting for him.

I guess I'm the only one who's not at all excited about this season. I guess I'm just kinda over TUF. I rewatched the first season last week and its just no comparison for me.

It's just on too much and there is too much "real world"-esque drama. Too much quantity and not enough quality. They should do the show once a year instead of twice. Maybe they will if the ratings start to disappoint.

I thought the most interesting thing that happened all show long was GSP's comment that he actually knew of the Alaskan guy before the show because of his reputation for having an amazing guillotine. The guy doesn't look like much when you see him, but it's pretty cool that he does one thing so well that top-ranked guys know of it.

I always like the first episode (and often wish it was a 2-parter). I'm not big into the drama. I like a bit of backstory but I know that half of those guys are pretty decent and the other half are douchebags. I don't need to see their interactions in a house to cement that.

I fing TUF is useful for giving you a feel of what the coaches are like (i.e., I think Rashard gained fans based on his coaching of the heavyweights). If I want to know about people's personalities, I rather they be personalities of people I've been familiar with for a while.

I was quite impressed with the quality of the fights on this season. I expected a really sloppy season a bit like the last couple, but looks like we got some good all rounders. Shame that the UFC LW division is pretty deep (especially with TUF'ers already).

I think the UFC desperatly needs a MW season, but looking forward to this one none the less. Not so much the edit/man made drama for people trying to get "heat" to keep them in the UFC if they get knocked out.

Guillotine guy is this guy: http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Cody-McKenzie-22173

On the show he said he trained old school Evan Tanner style.

If Bruce Leroy makes it to the semis, he's pretty much guaranteed a contract. The kid's got skill, style and personality, plus Dana seems to be in love with him.

That second fight had amazing stand-up. Really awesome, technical stuff. I hope the dude who lost gets picked somehow. There's usually a spare 2 spots, right? Some of the guys who won their fights looked really weak.

The Alaskan dude is unpleasant to look at. But 10 straight wins by guillotine!? That's awesome. He's the Imanari of front chokes. He's got Lyle Beerbohm on his team, who has beaten Shaolin and Bang Ludwig. I'm guessing he serves as coach. Dude himself desperately needs to work on his athleticism and striking.
Hi love, bye love, I will miss my love.

Well that was a memorable season then for me wasnt it!

I do not remember anyone really coming off that. Clearly needs another MW season!

Ep 2 out;

Wasnt bad, the bubble on "Bruce Lee" did burst for me a bit, he landed a nice triangle, and is quite dynamic, but his stand up looks pretty poor for a guy that is so "high about his own standup". He doesnt set his kicks up and doesnt really get his hands going at all, when he went for combo's he was left very open. What he does have is durability, toughness and motivation to win - and some talent. He will improve, but I don't think we'll see it on the show, but I think he'll put it together in the next year or two - he is young.

Not the best epsiode though, the build up of the "smoker vs the wannabe Lee" came off as a bit cheesy.

Does anyone else think that the picks between GSP and Kos were edited/re-editted to look like that? I fail to believe anyone would fall for that.

Bruce Leeroy started he was mainly a grappler but that people notice his stand-up more.

Lentz/Leroy was a terrible fight, they looked like serious amateurs out there. Everything about that fight was sloppy except the triangle at the end. I dont think either of these two is going to make it very far. Nice sub by Leroy though.
