I knew it. I remember arguing hard that you shouldn't take a "tackler" at #5. Vernon Davis was my guy. Oh well, the Packers are still very good at LB and TE.

GREEN BAY - The Green Bay Packers have signed linebacker Robert Francois to their practice squad, the team announced Thursday.

To make room for Francois, the Packers released offensive tackle Chris Campbell.

Francois, 6’2” tall and weighing 255 pounds, spent time on the Packers’ practice squad at the end of last season and earlier this season.

Francois originally entered the NFL with the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent from Boston College in 2009. Francois will wear number 49.
