ESPN: Greatest Team (Lakers vS. Celtics)

Setting being homer aside, who do you think will win a 7 games series?

Los Angeles Lakers

C Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
F Pau Gasol
F Elgin Baylor
G Kobe Bryant
G Magic Johnson

Boston Celtics

C Bill Russell
F Kevin McHale
F Larry Bird
G John Havlicek
G Bob Cousy

I'll take Lakers in 7 with Magic being the MVP of the series. :reporter:

The Celts didn't even make it to ESPN's finals...It's either the Sixers or the Bulls.

Its super close with those starting lineups, but if you add 3 subs (C,F,G) it's LA.
C- Shaq
F- Worthy
G- West

Vs probably
Cowens, Pierce, SJones ?

Lakers have the depth.

That Lakers team would dominate. Celtics would never be able to defend them.

Magic would post the crap outta Cousy all day.

An then Havlicek on Kobe?

Bird vs Elgin and Pau vs Mchale would be okay.
But I would rather have Magic on Bird and Maybe Jerry West on Cousy instead.

Kareem vs Bill? Toss Up.
But I think Kareem's skyhook would be too devastating for a 6'10 Russell to stop.

Lakers in 5. LoL

Real Talk though. :x

Then try putting in the title...

"What if fans actually considered the Celtics top starting 5 as the Eastern Conference's Greatest Team...and they played the Lakers."

Oh...too long? 8-)

The Lakers length and athleticism would be too much to overcome, IMO.
