Wow.

I have the same concerns about this trade that many others have pointed out, but since there's nothing we can do to stop it might as well be hopeful that it works out. Fully aware of the danger of being "mired in mediocrity", but at least we'll get to enjoy playoff games again.

As others have said, the hope now is that we add another star to a (now more appealing) team through a trade. Given the willingness to give up Devin, I have a pretty good idea who Prokhy has his eye on.

Anyone have any idea what our cap space will be like next year after this all goes down? In an ideal world, T-Will explodes next year playing on a more talented team, and we somehow land Paul within a year or two. Not sure if that's logistically possible, though.

Hah! I've been focused on college football the last few weeks, ignoring this board since I finally have a sport with something going on. Obviously, that changed for us today.

I get why some people are worried about the trade. I'm certainly not prepared to call us real contenders. But whatever, nothing I can do about it, so I'll be optimistic and hope that one of our players emerges as a surprise star / we are going to be able to pull off a trade to make us a real contender. At the very least, I'll enjoy this season a lot more than the last few.

Hey, I'm smiling here, don't get me wrong. I'm just acknowledging that I may be regretting it when I have a herpes outbreak in a couple of years.

We won't be able to truly determine whether this was a good deal or not for a number of years, so I'll enjoy the ride in the interim.
