I wouldn't put that kind of pressure on him for a few more games.

I need to see what he does against Michigan State/Iowa/Wisconsin/Ohio State. I'll give him this though: that team has NOTHING without him.

He'll stomp Wisconsin. We're likely without Borland for the rest of the year and even with him, we can't stop the spread offense.

But can Michigan stop anybody?

I don't see what that has to do with Robinson performing well against Wisconsin. It's not his fault if his defense sucks.

And yes, they could probably stop us. Clay is good, Ball sucks and he's the #2 RB for some reason when it should be James White and Scott Tolzien sucks.

A Heisman run is somewhat dependent on the team playing very well too.

Michigan's defense can certainly lose them 3-4 conference games. Michigan finishes 8-4 or better, then Robinson might have a chance.

7-5 or worse, then pretty much no chance. Someone else will step up and get the publicity as the season wears on.

Last I checked, the Heisman goes to the best player in college football, and that's Robinson by a long shot. He's so good it's almost unhealthy. Barring injury or poor play late in the season, his candidacy looks very strong as the season progresses.

What's interesting is how the lineup shakes down behind him. Patrick Peterson of LSU is probably the second-best but the Heisman Trust was very iffy about giving second place to one of the most dominant defensive linemen of the decade in Suh. The Pac-10 has a cadre of interesting candidates in Luck, LaMichael James and Jacquizz Rodgers, but round-robin scheduling will likely prevent a winner from emerging. I see both Mark Ingram and Trent Richardson as candidates, and Colin Kaepernick or Kellen Moore are worthy of votes (whoever goes undefeated).
