Biedrins might benefit if he is healthy. Otherwise I don't expect a lot to change this season.

Biedrins should def benefit. Other than that it might actually hurt some other players.

i dont think it'll hurt their stats. if anything they'd get more with nelson out. warriors lost 7 rotation players this offseason, so most of their depth is gone, which means curry, monta, lee and andris are gonna have good numbers this season

Rox, you mention the Warriors lost 6 rotations players this summer. However don't forget the Warriors often only had 7 or 8 rotation players, sometimes even ending games with just 5 active players. This means the players might regress by default, not because the coaching change.

I suspect it's mostly the new guys (outside of Lee) who will feel that pinch.

ya but they were injuries all year. monta and andris played half the season. after the 4 best players, the talent dropoff is huge. last season they had maggette, morrow, reggie. the other players arent terrible but not as good as last years depth. their numbers wont be far off as last years. of corse i'm being optimisitc about bierdins actually playing 70+ games.

for any chance at the playoffs (which they wont make imho) thier 4 best players have to put up similar numbers as last season. they're the only ones that can carry the scoring load, make plays, block shots, crash boards.

i'm keeping my eye on brandon wright. i got him 2 years straight hoping he'd be healthy and outplay randolph. may be a longshot but he could help with blks, rbs, fg%, and makes his fts. has to stay healthy first. andris and lee need help, epke is out till midseason, no one is really in his way.

What is the new guy like? This looks horrible for Reggie Williams owners.

The "new guy" has been assistant coaching the Warriors all along. I'm not sure I expect much impact for Reggie. There could be some, though, if Smart won't play Reggie at SF and Dorrell at PF for some shifts like Nellie probably would have.
