When Carmelo is traded then

Post#1 » by radtech » Sun Sep 26, 2010 8:25 pm

Don't have a clue if and when Anthony will be traded, don't know for who but now there will be NBA ready players ready to replace him. The team gets younger just not better, not right away

Trade 1
Denver Incoming Players : Morris Peterson, Jeff Green, and B.J. Mullens

Outgoing Players : Nene Hilario

Trade 2
Denver Incoming Players : Jamal Crawford and Marvin Williams

Outgoing Players : Chauncey Billups and Al Harrington

Trade 3
Denver Incoming Players : Jordan Hill and Chuck Hayes

Outgoing Players : Chris Andersen

Why trade 1, with Anthony gone a replacement is needed. Green can do everything but and fills a position of need. He scores, defends, and is a underrated passes. And still young enough to get better. Mullens adds size and some ability. Petersen is gone after or before the trade deadline.

Why for OKC, been looking for a reliable big to team with Ibaka. Nene needs to sign an extension as well to make it work. He provides that big rebounding defensive presence and is a very good shot blocker.

Why trade 2, Crawford contract ends after the season but could be traded again during the deadline. Marvin Williams is another player of need. He plays the small forward as well but could swing to either the shooting guard or power forward position. A younger Al Harrington.

Why for ATL, Billups will provide more leadership and veteran presence than Crawford. He will thrive as the 3rd guard and having a championship ring will only help this team. Harrington adds another scorer off the bench.

Why trade 3, Jordan Hill is a young athletic big still getting better and better. He adds youth to the frontline.

Why for HOU, Brad Miller was signed, Scola was resigned, and nw add Andersen to offset the injury prone Yao. Each has a different knid of game but all will help. Andersen is the betterr defensive force.

I would pass on the first two deals, but I would bite on the the 3rd trade proposal.

I can't imagine Houston doing that deal.

First two deals work well for the other respective teams though.

Why don't you Denver fans just understand that Carmelo ONLY wants New York and that's it? Just trade him to us already and get it over with. If not he will leave and you guys get nothing. Melo is in control and nothing you can do about it. So sorry for you.

I think we should try to field a young, competitive team if Melo leaves. I don't think a blowout rebuild is necessary.

Trade Billups (I'd really like to keep him, but we should do him a favor and ship him out) and JR Smith.

I seriously love Knicks fans. They're the equivalent of a (Please Use More Appropriate Word) 16 year old kid, who tries to be gangsta, and thinks he's so cool when he picks on his younger brother....yet at the end of the day, he is still (Please Use More Appropriate Word).

That is pretty funny. It gave me a good laugh.

Glad I helped you laugh a little today. Just trying to return the favor for all the times Knicks fans make me laugh when they talk **** to Nets fans about how they only won 12 games last year, when their team won 30...and hasn't made the playoffs in a decade.

Knick fan here. I don't understand why you don't just keep Melo and let him play out the year. It is by far your best option as far as having a successful season, it gives you time to try to convince him to stay, an injury could alter his thinking and success could change his mind. You have a very talented team with a host of expiring contracts. I cannot believe you have no way to upgrade your team come deadline time for the final push.

You know what, as a Californian I have no real rooting interest in this situation, but reading these smug comments from Knicks fans makes me hope that Isiah Thomas comes back as GM midway through this season and spends the rest of your cap on Allen Iverson and resigning Eddy Curry.

Ny fans that act like this are the reason i really really hope Melo goes to Nj, they miss out on LBJ, Bosh, and Melo all in one year and get to watch Melo play only a little ways away that would be amazing

In the case of knicks fans, they missed the ball on lebron bosh etc... settled for Amare. and now have a team of

felton
chandler
gallo
Anthony "magic" Randolph
amare

and outside of buike and turiaf they have no bench depth. They have middle of the pack fringe playoff team written all over them. i dont know what they are all excited about.

teams better than NY next year... Orlando, Miami, Atlanta (didnt get any worse), boston, Bucks, chicago, Charlette..............................then NY lol

Char is better because

All defense teams with some offensive players > all offense teams with some defense

And as a Knicks fan, I can assure you that the idiots who come here to talk trash on the Nugs board a) would wholeheartedly welcome the return of Isiah, b) feel Marbury was victimized his whole career by "haterz", and c) would jizz in their pants if we signed AI (in fact, they spent much of last season lobbying for exactly that move...even AFTER he had signed with, and left, two different teams). I'm afraid you're confusing "smug" with "congenitally wrong-headed".
