Kevin Durant, like KG, will probably have to move to PF if he's going to get 10+ TRB/g. As it stands, he's mostly defending on the perimeter, which means fewer opportunities to collect defensive rebounds. A move to PF could see his DRB% increase to ~20%, like Antawn Jamison and Dirk Nowitzki.
I think it's 50/50 whether or not that happens down the road.

Well he's the best perimeter rebounder in the league or at least he was last year. The only small forward that averaged more rpg was Gerald Wallace who basically plays PF for Charlotte since they have Diaw's pansy ass starting @ the 4.

Gerald Wallace is a perimeter player; it's not like Jeff Green was much better a rebounder than Boris Diaw last season.
I'd say LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony were comparable to Kevin Durant as rebounders. James was similar overall, and Carmelo has always been a decent offensive rebounder - I personally value offensive rebounds more than defensive rebounds. Luol Deng is another excellent rebounder at the SF position who gets a lot of offensive rebounds - he gets them on a team that had good rebounders in the front court, too.
KD did show a much higher level of assertion collecting rebounds in the FIBA Worlds. I suspect a big factor in this was his role as a PF/C and generally remaining closer to the basket. I'm not sure how many more rebounds he could squeeze out of the SF position. If KD does move to PF I think it'd be the best thing for his career - a 30/10 season or two wouldn't be that far out of his reach. Remaining at SF he'll likely have to get his playmaking chops in order; I think it'd be easier for him to exploit his length and move up to PF.
