Your MNF Menu

Post#1 » by WRau1 » Mon Sep 27, 2010 3:12 pm

I know we had one of these threads awhile back so I thought I'd start a new one. Wondering what everyone is going to make for your Packer party tonight, I still need a few ideas. So far I'm just going with boneless buffalo wings w/ various BW3 sauces (3 for $12 @ any bw3s) and grilled potato skins.

For the wings I just get some boneless chicken breast, butterfly em in half and slice into chunks. Throw them in some egg/water then into some seasoned flour. Then into a pan of med high veggie oil. After a few mins I take them out and just toss some sauce on it, tastes just like BW3s.

Skins are easy, clean them off and just bake at 325ish for an hour, take them out and let cool. Cut in half, gut the insides to about 1/4inch, brush both sides with a good amount of butter and throw on the grill for about 3-5mins per side. When they're about done throw some cheese, chopped bacon and green onions on. Usually have ranch and sour cream for dipping sauce.

The only thing I have planned is grilling some burgers with some friends, I think someone also made rice krispy treats from what I was told :P Nothing too fancy but I make a mean burger.

Having about 10 people over tonight. My wife is making guacamole and crab rangoon for appetizer, pulled pork and potato salad for the main course. I'm a huge fan of the pulled pork, very easy with the crock pot too. Brown suger, ketchup, vinegar, and then whatever kind of spice mix you want to add to it for the flavoring.

Yea, I love pulled pork in the crockpot too. I'm gonna be feeding a minimum of five tonight, could be as many as 10. First Packer party of the year, I'm gonna have to bring my A game.

We're getting wings from BW3, maybe Pizza from a local joint and various other goodies. Pregame is on ESPN at 6:00. Channel 12 has their own pregame from 6:30-7:30.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

You son of a bitch... I am not invited to this party?! That is some poop right there! :P I also need to talk to you about getting a 10-pack this year or something for the Bucks.

Anyways, I am going to be making some pasta. Angel hair with a really thin cream sauce that features hot red pepper. Then mix in some green pepper, yellow pepper, red pepper and onion with some grilled chicken that is salted, peppered and coated with some sriracha hot sauce during cooking.

It is magical.

That sounds good. While I should look into reasonably healthy snacks for tonight, part of me wants to blow this diet to **** for one night.

Pulled pork for me too, on pretzel buns. Taco salad/dip. Capital oktoberfest. Fresh honeycrisp applepie (maybe).

Haha, it's at my sister's house in Stallis right off of 72nd Greenfield, you're welcome to come :) 10-pack sounds good to me.

You have to give yourself at least one night off of your diet (within reason) or else you'll go crazy.

Pulled pork is a great idea, I'll have to do that next week. Metcalfs in Tosa sells this Italian Beef spice packet called Sals and it's fantastic. 3lb roast in a slow cooker for 8hrs w/ some Sals & 1/2cup water, I guarantee it's the best Italian Beef you'll have outside of Chicago.

Think I might do ground turkey Nachos tonight, too.

I'm only having a couple of my Packer fan friends over. I'm not putting up with any of that Bears BS.

I'll probably grill some burgers and possibly order a pizza.

I went to Vintage Brewpub here in Madison and they had a sauce for their pulled pork that had a great chipotle peach BBQ sauce and they covered the sandwich with coleslaw. Now I always have to have coleslaw on my pulled pork. It makes the texture awesome. does anybody else do this?

Burgers, beer and good company is on my menu for tonight. I stuff the burgers with muenster cheese, bacon, fried onions and green peppers with cheddar cheese on top. Nothing special but it gets the job done.

Thanks for the idea. That's what I'm pulling together too. I also make a couple homemade dips. For drinks people can either drink ginger beer, Beast Ice, magaritas or something with vodka or tequila.
