hey everyone,
long time reader, first time poster...
i'll be coming to indy nov. 5th for their game against the bucks...its been years in the making, but i'm finally making the trip from canada
i was just looking for some advice...are there any pre game or post game rituals i should know about? how early do they open the gates? do they allow people down to courtside for the shoot around?
i want to get the full experience and dont want to miss out on anything...so if you get the time, send some advice my way...everything from the game itself to other things i need to see while in indy(staying the whole weekend)
thanks a lot

Gotta see Brightwood, it's a beautiful place.
My ritual is to always wear Pacers colors. Blue bandanas and Gold teeth. I support my team.

I need to see a Pacers game in Indy. Hopefully the 26th of November, against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

No not yet. I think tickets go on sale next week. Lower bowl most likely. Would love to be in area 55. Maybe if there a few empty seats I'll try and get in there at some point during the game

I'd say get there at least a half-hour before tip-off. Conseco has some great nostalgic exhibits featuring old jerseys, plaques, pictures, etc. And it's on every floor. A few years ago, some sports website rated Conseco as the best arena in all 4 major sports. Not bad for Indy!

In the NBA it still is the best arena. The NFL stepped up its game.

Re: off topic - my first pacers game
My first game I ever went to was Reggie's last regular season home game. Had the big celebration afterwards and rolled out a Bentley for him as a gift. Stephen Jackson was wiping it down with his towel for Reggie. I've still got all the things they gave away that day. Probably the most incredible sporting event I've ever been to.

^^^ Starkiller, I was at that game too. I've probably been to 25 Pacers games or so throughout my life and that was easily my favorite...especially since they won. I was literally in the back row, right up against the side walls of the building, but TOTALLY worth it.
