Who would have imagined they'd be the last undefeated team in the NFC? Once that line settles down in protection for Jay Cutler, they will be even better.

Color me surprised. In fact, I thought Chicago would struggle to an 8-8 record this season, so the Bears are off to a great start at 3-0. While Jay Cutler didn't have a great game against Green Bay, he still made plays when he had to.

Cliff Levingston still isn't completely sold, but as said in the other thread, the arrow is pointing up. If the line can get a point where it's fairly solid and not leaky as hell, then the offense has a ton of potential. Meanwhile, the defense needs to stay healthy. If Peppers, Urlacher or Briggs go down, we, are, screwed.

For now, anywhere between 5 and 10 is good. Cliff Levingston would still put the Packers, Colts, Patriots, Steelers and Saints over us, but it's hilarious and awesome that there's not any more than that.

Cutler needs to play like he did in the first two games as well. He was pretty bad at times last night but was helped by dropped interceptions and flags.

Still, I always think it's better to win when you're at your worst than a blow a team out because you learn from games like last night and still pull a win out of it.

We beat the Lions, an over-hyped Cowboys team, and the Packers at home.

Cutler is prone to throw interceptions...I'm not sold on this Bears team yet. I'm happy that we're 3-0, but I'm not sold yet.

Last week the Steelers won 38-13, and the Chiefs won 31-10.

Not sold yet, but this is a farcry from going 0-4 in the preseason.

Steelers:

Week 1...Beat Atlanta 15-9 in OT. Good close game won in OVERTIME.

Week 2...Beat Tennessee 19-11. Vince Carter was benched midway through this game & replaced by a rusty Kerry Collins. The Titans lost by only 8 pts even after having 7 turnovers (If the Bears were playing a team that had 7 TO, people would say "that team made mistakes & lost the game". When the Steelers play a team that had 7 TO, people say "the Steelers caused those turnovers & won the game". DOUBLE STANDARD.

Week 3...Beat Tampa Bay 38-13. The Bucs previously beat the (0-3)Browns by 3 pts & the (0-3)Panthers 20-7 (Carolina has since benched (horrible) Matt Moore as their QB in favor of (Rookie) Jimmy Clausen).

Chiefs:

Week 1...Beat San Diego 21-14. Good solid 7 pt win.

Week 2...Beat Cleveland 16-14. Seneca Wallace was the QB....Enough said! The Browns are 0-3.

Week 3...Beat San Francisco 31-10. 49ers fired their Offensive Coordinator after this game & their 0-3 start.

The Bears have beaten the two NFC teams (Dallas 27-20 & Green Bay 20-17) that almost every NFL "expert" picked to make it to the Super Bowl. They won a game against the Lions 19-14 with a NFL rule correctly going in their favor, although we would have blown them out if WE had not commited multiple redzone turnovers.

You talk about how bad the Bucs and San Fransisco are but is either team better than the Lions? Blowing out terrible teams is certainly more impressive than beating a terrible team because their best player forgets to protect the ball when making a touchdown pass.

And the Bears shouldn't get credit because "experts" had Dallas as a Superbowl contender. Every year, the media hypes up the Cowboys because there are so many fair weathered Cowboys fans around the nation, and rating increase on ESPN when they talk about the Cowboys being the first team to host the Superbowl in their gigantic stadium. Does that make them a good team? No.

We've beaten a bad team, an okay team, and a good team so far. We're 3-0, which is the best you can be after 3 weeks, but they've all been close wins where if one play is changed, we lose.

Jay Cutler will throw a lot of interceptions this year, our offensive line has some work to do, and no one on the d-line outside of Peppers is doing much. I don't think that the Bears are an elite team. I don't think that Lombardi's ranking of #14 is that ridiculous. I would probably rank the Bears top 10, but not top 5 at this point.

Blowing out terrible teams is certainly more impressive

The Lions are not as bad as they were last year, IMO.

We beat the Lions 19-14...Our 1st game in a new Offensive scheme. We could have blown them out but we had multiple redzone turnovers.

Philadelphia beat the Lions 35-32...No blowout. Very close game.

Minnesota beat the Lions 24-10...The Lions were winning, then muffed a punt return which gave away the momentum & the game. I don't know if you would consider this a blowout or not.

We've beaten a bad team, an okay team, and a good team so far. We're 3-0, which is the best you can be after 3 weeks, but they've all been close wins where if one play is changed, we lose.

Once again, one play can change any game with any team. We are 3-0. Every team in the NFL would love to have our record.

He has 2 INTs (tied with Brady, Brees, Romo, & a couple more QBs) while 15 others have more (Rodgers, Palmer, Rivers, Schaub, Eli, Favre, & others).

The above link shows that we have the #1 ranked Rushing Defense in the NFL. Our D-Line has a lot to do with that.

Cutler set the record for most interceptions by a Bears QB last year, and he had a couple called back against the Packers. He's a gun-slinger, and we should expect him to throw more than the average QB this year.

Our d-line has been very good against the run, but no one outside of Peppers is getting to the QB.

I'm very happy that the Bears are 3-0, I'm just not ready to call them an elite team yet.
