The comments on McGinniss by people who know what they are talking about are an eye-opener for me. By the time I saw McGinniss play, he was a very talented player, but not very disciplined, and not too focused on playing defense. He would have to have been a better player than that in his time with the Pacers to have been better than O'Neal at his best. If you guys say that he was, I think I probably believe it.

One of my great sports-related regrets is not being around to see the Pacers in their ABA heyday. If you weren't able to go to the games in person, you probably didn't see those Pacers teams, because the ABA was almost never on TV outside of local markets. I was stuck here in Missouri with a pretty dismal team, the Kansas City Kings. Although I must say that Tiny Archibald ruled and would be quarterbacking the All-Time Pacers if he had happened to play pg for Indiana, on balance, I'd gladly trade my experiences following the now long-gone KC Kings for memories of really good Pacers teams that won three championships.

Big George defined the modern power forward. no one played like he did before him. think Karl Malone with a 3 point shot or a 6'10" Charles Barkley and this in a day when no one lifted weights and everyone smoked in the locker room at half-time. yes, he declined in the end and the Pacers never should have traded to get him back from Denver but he changed the game.

Who are these 0.9% who didn't vote for Reggie? They must be hunted down and punished for this blasphemy.
