Starting shooting guard?

It's time to get off this troll talk and Carmelo **** and get back to Nets basketball. Who do you want to start at shooting guard to begin the season?

I wish the Nets would trade for Arron Afflalo, he'd be great on this team.

But to answer your question, I'd go with Morrow, with T-Will being the super sub off of the bench.

Thats a very good question...I think preseason will play a little role, but I do believe Morrow is the frontrunner, and Twill is still better suited coming off the bench...However, the concern on the defensive end with Morrow could make this as even as it gets...

It comes down to Twill's defense. If he's motivated and channels the kind of hard nosed defense he played at Louisville then I think he gets the nod. If not Morrow's steadiness and consistency will probably trump TWill's inconsistency. It will be interesting to watch both of them develop through the course of the season.

Morrow..I like TWill's game but Morrow will fit in better with Harris' ability to penetrate and with Lopez demanding attention in the post. TWill can come in the game and play 2 or 3 positions for the Nets wherever they need him to play

is Afflalo that much better than TWill or Morrow? he's a role player that plays D runs the floor and knocks down some shots..he isnt that much better than Courtney Lee IMO

I'd start Morrow at SG and T-Will at SF. Outlaw is probably better suited as a backup.

C: Lopez/ Petro
F: Murphy/ Favors
F: Williams/ Outlaw
G: Morrow/ (Graham?)
G: Harris/Farmar

Morrow makes more sense in the starting lineup with Devin and Brook. We had a hard time making easy shots last season and we paid this guy for a reason.

A) Its an inside joke, not meant to be taken seriously.
B) But, lets see: Morrow can knock down shots, but can't play defense. T-WIll can play defense, but can't hit the broadside of a barn. So, ah, yeah, Afflalo's better than both of them at the 2 guard for this team right now. Now, if you're talking about all around talent, then yeah, T-Will is better than either Morrow or Afflalo.
C) If Courtney Lee was still on the team, I'd wager he'd be the starter.

T-Will isn't big enough for small forward, unfortunately.

Let me add a caveat to this question.

We know that T-will is or can be a better defender then Morrow.

We Avery has said that Twill is working on his ball control, passing and reducing turnovers.

Let say T-will can show Avery that he can hit open shots and maybe even open 3s.

Wouldnt Twill be the starting SG?

Of course. If T-Will can start hitting his shots, then he'd be the absolute starter, don't think that's really a question.

I like T-Will in the starting lineup. I think his diverse game is better suited for the starting role. Yes he can play multiple positions but we won't need him to with Farmar and James to backup PG and SF.

Lopez/Petro
Murphy/Favors/Hump
Outlaw/James
T-Will/Morrow
Harris/Farmar

Guys like Morrow who are hot and cold that do one thing like shoot or just rebound are better suited for the bench unless you have a huge need for them in the starting lineup which we don't need with Outlaw and Murphy out there to spread the floor. Lets get our best players on the floor and see what they can do and I think T-Will is one of our best players so why bench him.

Morrow should be the starter at the start of the season because he is the better fit. Spacing the floor was a huge issue for this team last season...with morrow and murphy on the floor the starting unit should be much more balanced and better suited for brook and harris.

Twill makes sense as a 6th man...a guy who can play multiple positions..fill up a stat sheet..and create his own shot.

Unless one thoroughly outplays the other early on in the year..this scenario makes more sense.

The real question is who finishes games?
