That $60 eBay game is NOT the flawed, rare game the OP is talking about. Read further. It's a pre-sale for 5 months from now when EA finally develops a new Elite 11 game.

I think it's just as ludicrous as the rest of you guys do but you would be shocked what some of these hardcore gamers will pay for something that their peers deem cool or rare. They are one of the most easily influenced/swindled subcultures in the world along with trekkies and comic book collectors.

HAHA, it's funny to me to read some of these posts. Just because it does not mean much to you, does not mean that it is not valued by someone. I just happen to be that someone. I am also wondering why some of you are upset at the amount of money I spent. Fortunately, I am in a situation where I can spend that sort of money and not think twice. The money was not even the option, I put in $500, so really did not care how much it went for. I have talked extensively over the past few days with one of the developers, and he has nearly guaranteed me that Elite 11 will be scrapped. So I knew that I need to make a play. I don't need to defend my purchase at all, I just thought some of you would find it cool that another Knicks fan might be the sole owner of an unreleased game. Thanks for the support :roll:
