Gee i love it when guys are playing for contracts!

So he knew it was a contract year and decided to throw up 54 hr's? It's a wonder other players don't decide to tack on 41 hr's to their previous years hr total during contract years. Sounds like a good idea to get a raise!!

I wonder if Joe Mauer heard steroid talk last yr. He was about a 10 hr/yr guy. 9 in '08, but got 28!!!! in '09 then back to 9 this season. He doesnt have a power stroke either like Jose does. I assume not.
