Minutes played you want and what u think

Post#1 » by xkirruax » Sat Oct 2, 2010 4:11 am

ok season is almost here what do you hope for and what do you think will happens with the mins played this year and why.
What i want is this
PG Blake 28 Brown 20
SG Kobe 30 Barnes 15 Brown 3
SF Artest 30 Barnes 10 Ebanks 8
PF Gasol 20 Odom 25 Caracter 3
Bynum 32 Gasol 10 Ratliff 4 Caracter 2

This line up we will always have the best players on the court at all time with speed offense and defense. All our starters will be well rested like we are an older team we need 2 scale back and i think 30 mins per game for our older big 4 is a must this year. The key to having the main guys play around 30 mins per game is Barnes Odom and Brown cuz all 3 can play in many positions plus with the added thing of Ebanks living up to the hype we can pretty much keep 3 of Kobe Artest Gasol Bynum and Odom on the court at all times. With Blake and Brown both taking up all the PG mins we can have a fast player running the point with great D at all teams meaning we have less of a burden to play heavy mins

now what i think will happen is.

PG Fisher 30 Blake 18
SG Kobe 35 Brown 13
SF Artest 30 Barnes 18
PF Gasol 15 Odom 30 Ratliff 3
C Bynum 28 Gasol 20 Ratliff 5

Phils love geezer will get his burn costing the lakers many games and making the starters play more mins then they had to. Kobe never wanting to sit down will force his way into around 35 mins per game. Fisher inability to guard even my grandma will lead to Bynum being in foul trouble a lot meaning more mmins for Gasol at center. Plus Phil hate for rookies players means we wont be seeing Dbank or Caracter at all.

I think Phil is changing his tune with this set of rookies. He's raved on Dev and Derrick, he loves DC's physical nature and Dev's ability to defend. Truth is though they won't see much burn because of Phil not going to them, it'll be because we have a veteran laden team. But I see nights where they can probably help. With Drew out we'll definitely see DC at some point, common sense says he has to play him some to prevent burnout of LO and Pau.

lol the same Phil Jackson who later admited that Fisher helped out the Lakers vs the Rockets by getting himself suspended *IE even though he knew Fisher was killing us Fisher was going to play that game and possibly led to a Lakers being ejected by the Rockets* That Phil lol is only going to give him the mins that Morrison and DJ got last year....

Fisher is not playing 30 minutes per game. Blake will play more minutes than fisher in the regular season. I think DC will get minutes but I'd be suprised if EBanks got minutes. We are back to back champions Phil is not going to play rookies just because they looked good in summer league or practice. DC will play out of necessity. We will have a problem getting Barnes 20-25 minutes per game as is, and if luke walton is healthy thats a even bigger problem considering how much phil love him.

Big Game you're right on point my man, I'm just hoping Phil losses his jock love of Luke. Dude is breaking down and we need to get those minutes to Matt by any means possible. But I'm damn good with DC playing.....dude ain't no punk and he will battle in there.

The only players who's minutes I want to limit are Fisher and Bryant. Fisher, because
of his age, and I want him to be fresh for the playoffs. Bryant, well, for the same
reasons as well.

Now that Bynum is out for the start of the season, I believe Phil will play Caracter, to
back Odom up at the 4.

Yeah Im super good with DC playing. That dude is like a MACK truck. I really hopes he gets minutes, even when Bynum comes back. DC can help limit the minutes of both Gasol and Bynum so they can be fresh for the playoffs. Im some pumped, I cant wait for the season to start.

Our normal rotation will look something like this:

Fisher 24/Blake 24
Bryant 36/Brown 12
Artest 32/Barnes 16
Gasol 18/Odom 30
Bynum 30/Gasol 18

Sasha, Luke and Ratliff will get spot minutes when the matchups are favorable or in blowouts or against crappy teams to give our starters more minutes of rest.

Ebanks and Caracter will get spot minutes when we have injuries... Ebanks has a chance to overtake Luke on the depth chart. Caracter will get more minutes early while Bynum is hurt.
