Re: Whiteside
Then I suggest you do chest & back twice a week. Best chest workouts are bench press, free weight bench press, free weight incline press & free weight butterflies. For back, the best workouts are deadlifts, barbell raise. Legs, squats squats squats and leg presses, that's all you need. Maybe add in a light jog after your done with your legs to keep the blood flowing and pumping.

Re: Whiteside
No need to do Chest/Legs/Back three times. Do legs once, chest & back twice. I would recommend 6 sets for everything, after you complete your first set of whatever your working out on, increase your weight by 5 or 2 1/2 if your gym carries it, BUT, decrease your reps everytime you increase your weight. For example; start off with 12 reps with 25 pounds, next set you go 10 reps with 30 pounds, then 8, 4 and 2. you get the pattern. Also, just go Mon-Fri, you want your body to get some rest, so during the weekend you rest your body, because that's when it grows, not while you work out.

only 2 days of workout per week? Is this enough?
How many chest and back exercises? Is this a bulk workout?

Re: Whiteside
No, you got it wrong my friend. You work out Mon-Fri and rest Sat & Sun. You make a plan for yourself on what two body parts you want to work out each day you go to the gym. For example; Monday you could do 4 or 5 different workouts for biceps and 3 or 4 different workouts for back, that's one day. Tuesday you could do 4-5 workouts for chest and 2 or 3 for triceps, that's another day. Wednesday you could do Shoulders with legs or shoulders by itself, and there are plenty of good shoulder workouts to occupy you for 45 min. Thursday you could do biceps & back once again and just do the same workouts you did on that Monday, and Friday you could go legs by itself or add in chest as well so you end up doing biceps, chest & back twice a week. It all depends on what you want to build the most and strongest, and you go in order of your choice.

WTF @ how big his arms are!!!!!!!!!
Anyway, I had Whiteside as a top 8 pick and Cousins 3rd overall. That was before the draft. Now I clearly have Cousins ranked way ahead of Evan Turner. I came to that conclusion within the first few minutes of watching Cousins play in the summer league. My top 60 list before the draft can be found below.

You don't build muscle when you're at the gym. You build muscle when you're resting/sleeping

Oh, my bad...
So, It would be something like this:
Mon - (4ex)chest, (2ex)triceps, (1ex)lateral delts, (1ex)front delts
Tue - (4ex)back, (2ex)biceps, (1ex)trapz, (1ex)rear delts
Wed - (7x)legs
Thu - same as monday
Fri - same as tuesday
Sat - rest
Sun - rest
But I want to emphasize my legs... so May I put another legs day on Saturday?

Re: Whiteside
It really depends on what you want to build the most. If you want to build your legs then you can work them out twice a week as well as any other exercises you may want to do but you really do need to rest a couple of days because you need your body to rejuvenate itself and going to the gym 4 or 5 days a week is good enough, just make an effective workout plan and stick to it for 6-8 weeks then switch it up a bit so your body doesn't get used to the same exercises every week.

ROY: Wall
Roy runner up: Turner
Biggest Bust: Cousins/Whiteside
Most overrated: Cousins/Whiteside/Udoh
Most underrated: Paul George/Xavier Henry/James Anderson
Sleeper Picks: Larry Sanders, Willie Warren
Well they're definitely wrong about Turner, I'll take blake griffin all day for 2nd, he could even challenge wall for first if he averages a double double. Being in the league for a year already helps a ton.
Cousins is gonna beast it, I think he's rated pretty reasonably.

He hasn't even played a minute due to injury. He looked great at times during summer league a couple of months back though. Hopefully he'll be making his preseason debut soon.

Re: Whiteside
I wonder if we will see Whiteside to the D-League. Hes older then most one and done draft entrys, and you want to keep big men on your roster but he is pretty raw and is not getting a whole lot of time in camp with his injury. His lenght, if healthy, may be to much to send down.

Re: Whiteside
I didn't want to make a new topic so I found this one.
With all the big men the Kings have and it looks like whiteside won't get any playing time, I think it's time to send him to the d-league. Start developing him unless coach is keeping him around to learn from Dally.

Re: Whiteside
Petrie isn't really a fan of the D-league. At least I think I remember hearing that. Might be the coach too, but since it's been available Petrie may have used it like once, even if that. I think I recall him saying it makes more sense for him to learn from his head coach than another one in which the Kings have no control over what he teaches. I'd be perfectly happy just seeing him dressed and in the case of a blow out see him get some garbage minutes.
