Just about right price for a good young center. I'm happy.

Hooray, we can all go back to loving his inimitable Hell's Kitchen swagger and not going over him with a magnifying glass looking for flaws.
(but seriously, I wasn't even sweating this -- we've got Taj Gibson, after all.)

This is too much for a guy like this. I mean once Rose gets his extension we will have 4 guys making over 10+ million a year. The Celtics, Lakers, Magic, Heat don't even have that.

JB: JR must either pay the Lux Tax at that point or get rid of one of the 4.

We need Noah now more than ever. He basically has to lead the league in rebounding while Boozer is out.

If you don't pay him that, someone else will. This is a perfectly reasonable contract for a young, borderline allstar, starting center.
Its only 2 million more than Ben freaking Gordon got. This is a perfectly acceptable deal.

God willing, we'll be able to extend Taj for something that averages just a skosh shy of $10 million a year. So there's that.

What's up with the Taj comments?
Thank god we've got him, given Boozer's untidy hallways.

You're right, the Celtics don't have 4, they have 5 guys over $10 Million per season.

No, totally. The love for Taj in the Boozer injury threads has me wondering why we signed Boozer in the first place!

Should've given that money to T-Mac duh. KC said the deal is around $11 million plus incentives.

I don't follow. People are relieved we have him to mitigate against Boozer's loss.
