Was Peppers the best NFL signing this offseason?

I think so. No player signed, drafted or traded on any other team is making as big a difference and/or is as big a game changer as Julius Peppers. And I'm not just saying this cause I'm a Bear fan. Who else has had as big an impact?

Signing; easily? It's not even close.

The other big names of the offseason were traded. Brandon Marshall, Anquan Boldin, etc. You've also got Sam Bradford who's rejuvenated that Rams team. So far though, Peppers has been the best offseason acquisition in the league, though Boldin is close.

Yes.

If you pick up a player that impacts the game so much that it can even put one "W" in the W-L column I think that's special. Especially in a 17 week season

I'd have to say yes.

Peppers is a MONSTER!

Freaking SUPERMAN!

He gets double and triple teamed almost every possession.

3 games in is too early to tell.

Boldin is beasting in Baltimore and Marshall is quietly putting up nice numbers, but I LOVE the Peppers signing. He does so much more than the box score shows. He's an animal and I'd love to see him have a huge game this weekend against the team that let him go.

How do you let that guy get away. I guess they are rebuilding and it doesn't make much sense to spend $100 million on a pass rusher, but still...Sad day when he leaves your team.

One great thing about the Peppers signing is simply that it was successful. That's really important for this organization. If it had flopped we would likely not go out again in the FA market for some time. Given that it is tremendously successful signing, my hope is that we go out and shore up the O-Line and get a big WR in FA without fear that it backfires. This organization needed confidence that they could be a successful player in the FA market and we got it.

I really like him......my favorite player in this team!

For the Bears, he's definitely the best signing since.........since when?

I'd vote for the Thomas Jones signing. Brilliant move by Angelo to get him for dirt cheap at that moment from Tampa. Otherwise, most of the Bears impact players have been trades or draftees.

Trades:
Ogunleye
Cutler

Draftees:
A. Brown
M. Brown
Tillman
Urlacher
Briggs
Forte
Hester
Knox

Their signings have been relatively mediocre, but Angelo took risks with Peppers and Cutler and thus far, paid off. We'll see.

Yes Peppers has made our defense legit. Teams are constantly double or triple teaming him so people need to start making plays.

hands down had the biggest impact of any free agent this season. not only in the pass rush but also funneling running back to the middle
