She could be an enforcer for a team.

She reminds me of those East German women who were all doped up. There are about a million players who are tall and who can be thugs. I think Candace Parker has a shot

Not serious thread obviously, but once again

the max salary in the WNBA is like 100k

minimum nba salary is 400k

even a 10 day contract in the NBA gets you like 17k. If there was a female, midget, paraplegic, etc... any other weird scenario you want to present and you want to know if they could play in the NBA, look at the current salary they are making in the WNBA or whatever other league. If it is less than 400k, they can not play in the NBA. If they could they would, no one chooses to make 4 times less than they could.

WNBA SG, F, and C can't play in the NBA. The best WNBA PG's may make borderline 3rd string PG's.

She would be lucky to play in a decent high school varsity program.

Absolutely. But seeing as how this is a male dominated forum with heightened insecurity levels, the resounding response will be no and stuff like she couldn't even beat male elementary schoolers, etc.

No. That's just ridiculous.

No female player could play on a top level high school team. None.

Not even close. She's not mobile or athletic enough for the NBA and she doesn't have any skills that a swingman would normally have. She has the skillset and mobility of a center with the body of a sg/sf. Out of every player in the WNBA, Taurasi would do the best in the NBA because of her mobility for her size and her skill. She wouldn't be good obviously, but she would survive better than any other female. Griner would get abused.

You're hilarious. Brittney Griner weighs less than Nate Rob, and you think she could play in the NBA?

She wouldn't stand a chance.

A scoring guard like Diana Taurasi off the bench could possibly work in the right situation.
You would for sure need a shotblocking center like D. Howard when she gets blown by on pretty much every possession ha

I don't know why you posted a video of the Mcdonalds all star game, because its not even the same as a high school team. Basically the top high school teams have 1 or 2 star players filled with a bunch of other no namers. WNBA players such as Diana Taurasi can replace those other scrubs on the team and start. Britney Griner can make any high school team based on her height.

I look at it the same way as I look at the "what NBA athlete could play in the NFL" questions. Most people will instinctively say none of them or underrate the amount who could giving reasons that NBA players are weaker and flop or can't take contact, etc. As for me, I give players the benefit of the doubt based on the fact that they would obviously train differently to hone skills that would better prepare them in the new sport. Its all about the potential the player has to train and make the transition and I look at this situation the same.

It would not be impossible for her to put on weight and gain strength if need be, nor is she as immobile as some are making it to where she could not move to the wing. I am not saying she'd be a star or even a rotation player on a contender, but just that I know most realgm posters will come in here and say no in exaggerated ways without even taking those types of things into consideration.

My man, Im probably the biggest Women's hoops fan on this site. I watch a ton of it and am a huge fan. Still, there is no contest between men & women. Scalabrine would easily average 40ppg in the WNBA and more if he really wanted to
