2nd and 3rd pick!

Post#1 » by amay » Mon Oct 4, 2010 12:17 am

hey guys.. im in a 12 team, h2h league, 9 cats, snake draft on espn.. and i am able to pick first out of my league... guarenteed im going with durant at first pick... just having trouble deciding on who to pick at my 2nd and 3rd pick..i was thinking of going pg(high assists) then sg(hopefully 2 position) or pg(high assists) and PF or C(high rbds)...from what im hearing from my fellow peers...most of them are going small for their 2nd pick, no one mentioned monta ellis so far, so it would be good to have him..durant is apparently working on his passing so i dont mind going for a 5-7asts pg or do you think i should go big and hope for rose or jennings for my 4th or 5th?...but yeah..my draft is on the 5th.. any suggestions?

thanks

Go best available early as the talent pool evens out significantly after the first few rounds.

I like to match up Durant with a solid point guard. Having a Big next to him is nice, but Durant is already a solid rebounder and does get you some blocks. He's pretty weak in assists however and all this talk of him improving his passing is just talk until he proves it. So the best point guards available in my opinion. He looks good next to rondo because his ft% fixes rondo's deficiency. He looks good next to Kidd because his scoring fixes that problem. Even Nash will give you an automatic 1st in the free throw category. Same sort of deal with Billups...

Ty Evans would be a solid 2nd rd option or even 3rd depending ...
