Re: Suns-Wolves Trade
I'd strongly consider something revolving around that.
Lopez/Frye
Beasley/Warrick/Lawal, Clark etc
Hedo/Hill/Duds, Clark etc
JRich/Duds? or Dragic
Nash/Dragic or Janning

Re: Suns-Wolves Trade
Childress will bring a lot more to this team than most realize. He was second only to Rubio (and in some cases Splitter) in raw talent playing in Europe. I think Rubio only gets the nod because of the hype and his age.
We already have a tweener forward in Warrick, who I'd rather see get some serious burn as a high-flying Amare-light. I've seen Beasley get serious burn in a system with a lack of scoring options outside of Wade... and I wasn't impressed.

I'd do it just for the potential.

Re: Suns-Wolves Trade
Childress would outscore Richardson and Turkoglu if he got as much playing time as them. People are underestimating this guys potential. Also, Beasley is a head case and Childress isn't.

I wouldn't do it. I know beasely has the talent and all but childress seems to be a better fit character wise. And we all know what good chemistry does for a team.

He cannot do anything physically that Warrick can't do. He's undersized.
In what way can he fill our PF hole? I'd actually rather Hedo than Beasley, in fact by a long stretch.

This. Also, you realize Beasley was traded for a second round pick straight up? If we wanted him, we should've traded a second round pick for him. Why trade a player who just led our team in scoring in an intrasquad scrimmage for soeone whowas traded for a second rounder.
Childress already loves it here and it seems his teammates feel the same way about him. This guy is going to be the man with us. Lets not start looking to trade someone whois essentially perfect for our team.

if anyone needs to be traded its Warrick... there was no use in signing him. Gani has so much potential to be a SOLID starting PF for us one day. i rather give gani minutes then hakim

Re: Suns-Wolves Trade
no way to that trade...as nashrambler said, we could have given up a 2nd rounder and gotten him from the heat...which means that's how low his stock was at this point. He needs to get it together, and although phx may have been a great place with great leaders in nash and hill, childress is a great fit already here and will be huge for us this season.

+ like a billion. I hate the Warrick signing. Lawal and Clark deserve playing time over Warrick for the fact that if both/either of them get confident and figure it out, they've got much longer and a much higher ceiling than Warrick. Yes, I believe Clark deserves playing time over him even though he's shown very little. Warrick's shown less... I remember watching Cav's playoff games against Chicago last year and cheering when Warrick got put in for "offense" because he was just a ball stopper who never actually scored. I'd pick nobody over Warrick. Beasley included.
