If it were really rigged, why would the NBA put these 3 players in Miami of all cities? There were MUCH LARGER media markets in the running for these 3 from Chicago to NY to NJ. Miami is not on their level by any means.

Yes, it was rigged.

Miami was the only team that could sign all three and they already had a pact made (along with Chris Paul) to play together on the same team since the Chinese Olympics. So yes, this whole thing was planned years ago.

Say what?

We should be happy like they're doing us a favor or something? How about many of us will just not watch ESPN - at all.
Not watching ESPN anymore because they decided to have a sub section dedicated to the Heat is just as an overkill as you think this whole idea is. It's not like you are forced to check the HEAT index every time you click ESPN.

That's the difference between me and LeBron, I only wish ill upon him, he acted ill upon his fans because he didn't care about them. And don't defend someone who refers to themselves in the third person, because anyone who does that doesn't care about anyone else. So don't compare me to a terrorist. I'm not emotionless or inconsiderate. I am considerate enough to NEVER do what LeBron did and I am acting with emotion to the **** things he did.

You sound like a whiny little baby. He said all the right things (up until the decision b/c I don't agree w/ that) about trying to win a title for Cleveland. Just because it didn't happen doesn't mean he didn't try his best, and more importantly, doesn't mean he was obligated to stay with Cleveland until he won a title.

If you think he tried his best you didn't watch the series. If you think hes interested in trying his hardest then he wouldn't have signed with the team offering him the easiest road to a championship.

He wasn't obligated to say he would stay in Cleveland until he won a championship. Upon saying that he made it HIS obligation to stay and win. The fact he left at the first opportunity and quit before that opportunity even came showed his lack of commitment to accomplishing anything difficult. Nobody made it obligatory for LeBron to stay except LeBron when he made the promises about staying.

And if he didn't say things like that then CLE fans would be criticizing him about not having a winning attitude, not caring about winning a title for their city, and a ton of other BS that comes up just because he left CLE. You wouldn't hear any Cleveland fans (or owner) saying LeBron quit on the team had he stayed with the Cavs, it only comes up because he left their team.

Miami wasn't the only team that could sign all 3. Miami was the only one that could sign all 3 upon finding a taker for Beasley, as they were still over the cap.

This conspiracy stuff is mind-numbingly (Please Use More Appropriate Word).

B/W NY and Miami, let alone Chicago, too, Miami is completely no where close to those market. Chicago or NY would've made more sense on SO many levels.

Again...rigged?

9 pages on this? Really? They re just filling a niche. There are personalized websites for other teams too. If you dont like it, then dont go to ESPN.

You want the greatest player in the game, someone who has made the game interesting to follow over the past few years, to get hurt?

Gotta love the classless people wishing and hoping for another human being to get hurt.

:nonono:

I would love to hear how you think a player quitting in the playoffs to join up with his friends to win titles the easy way makes the game interesting. He ruined the sport. Now guys like Chris Paul and Carmelo Anthony want to do the same classless thing because they can't win without a super team because of what LeBron and Bosh did. LeBron getting a career ending injury would destroy the super team and make my favorite sport interesting again.

LeBron James does not play for YOUR enjoyment. He plays for his own life, his career, and his wants. Wishing for him to be injured is just cruel.

Its a catch-22... Heat fans say "If he was on your team, you'd like him"... Opposing teams say "If he wasn't on your team, you'd hate him"... both things are true to an extent. The only way to get an unbiased viewpoint really is to ask someone who isn't a fan of any particular team how they feel about it.

Or you could ask someone who has had it both ways.

By that definition, all Heat fans have had it both ways, would you consider them unbiased?

Dolphins and Canes are good teams. I guess you could include Panthers as well if you had a website

but those city boards have a lot more usually than 3 or even 4 teams.

For example, Chicago has Cubs, Whitesox, Bulls, ND, Illinois, Northwestern, Chicago Fire, Blackhaws, and Sky

So many more teams.

Jeeez, all of the people on here that are hating a green with envy I see :P
I don't see the big deal on this, they have sections for other cities. Just cause it's a certain team who cares? Grow up.
Heat fan through and through. If the warriors are playing anyone not named the heat ill root for them also

People will watch so it is a good move. News channels have become profit centers, not news centers. Why do you think Lohan and Paris get the top stories on some networks? Meanwhile, this country is in shambles. Onto other news.........

Windhorst is Lebron's hagiographer. Re-writing history for LeBozo and his merry little crew for the last decade.

Lebron started calling himself "King James" during his sophomore year of high school. This is the exact image he's always wanted. Don't let the court historians try to tell you otherwise. The kid never had a sane support structure and, surprise, has grown up to become a perpetual teenage douchebag of epic proportions.
