Van Exel liked to play isolation basketball. He was also quick to fire up shots. He'd be a horrible fit for the triangle.

i loved the Blake pickup, and im still happy about it after watching the 1st preseason game...
i'm just really curious how it'll look when Dfish and SBlake handle the elite pg's with their speed and strenth, and pick n roll games (ie: Dwilliams, Nash, cp3, Westbrook, rondo etc.)

LA tends to get point guards that fit what we need. Blake is scrappy, can hit the outside shot and play defense, which is what we were looking for. Players like Nick the Quick, Harper, Payton...those are guys who provided what we needed at that respective time.
