It does take some luck to get good again. In every sport.

We were fortunate in the sense that we part of being a bad team is often poor management, and we benefited greatly from the poor management in Memphis and Minnesota.

For me, it's too early to tell. If he is one, then you would feel comfortable not dealing him for Dwight Howard, LeBron James, Kevin Durant etc. Those are the types of players who resurrect a franchise. Evans may be that guy -- only time will tell. But yes in every sport you need some luck. For example, when Orlando had the #1 pick, they were lucky there was a Dwight Howard in that draft. The Mavs got lucky that Dirk was so good because around here in Dallas no one thought he was worth spit his rookie year. The Kings are relatively early in their reloading phase, yet they already have some interesting pieces. If they can add another great player into mix, they'll be a factor in the West again.

I agree about the part where we need to get another all-star caliber player to pair with Tyreke & DeMarcus. Only then we can get to where we want to be down the road. The NBA is all about "Big 3s" these days and especially in the West you will need to be at full strength to get past the Lakers and Thunder down the road with possibly Portland in the mix.
