Poll: What to do about our Safety situation?

Ok, the Lynch deal to Seattle has made me a little nauseous so I have to try to focus on something else.

Wait for Bigby to come back.

If Bigby and Harris can both be healthy I still like our defensive backfield, more-so than I did last year. Harris/Tramon is a great nickle and Shields becomes one of the better 6th DBs in the league.

I'd try out Michael Lewis, can't hurt. Then if he doesn't look like he can contribute, I'd look at possibly moving Woodson to safety and going with Shields and Tramon at CB (scratch that idea if it's Bush instead of Shields). If Harris comes back before Bigby then I definitely move Woodson to Safety and go with Tramon, Harris, and Shields as the top 3 CBs. Hopefully Bigby comes back for the Vikings game and is productive.

I wouldn't trade for anyone, but I'd look on the wire and see what is out there. Have to think there are better options than Martin or Peprah.

You bring in Michael Lewis unless you don't care about winning this season.

If we don't bring him in, should we fire TT?

The Burnett injury really pisses me off from the standpoint that I was looking forward to our depth in the secondary when Bigby and Harris came off the pup.

If Bigby can come back strong and stay healthy (big if) we'll be fine going forward.

But I would have loved that depth.

Yeah, that would have been nice. :(

CB: Woodson - Harris - Williams - Shields - Bush - Lee/Underwood
S: Collins - Bigby - Burnett - Martin - Peprah

That is most likely the deepest secondary core in the entire NFL.

Yeah, plus Burnett was looking better than Bigby ever had. Hopefully Burnett can make a full recovery, I really like having Collins and Burnett as our safeties going forward. Then if we can keep Bigby on the cheap, as the third guy I'd be pretty happy.

I'd trade Thompson for Minnesota's GM retroactively and go for the Super Bowl in 2007-2009 like he does. I'd sign Berrian for 30+ million, Jared Allen via trade for a few picks, Steve Hutchinson, and I'd go for the Super Bowl crown. I'd make more aggressive signings and moves to get er done.

Either that or I'd make a bunch of in-season trades and big-splash signings to go for it like Jerry Jones.

Oh, wait...

Yeah and it's not just depth with a bunch of ''solid'' guys,it's depth with multiple all pros mixed in.

I'd wait and pray we don't hear Martin's name unless its because of ST tackle and not a blown coverage. Martin isn't as bad as everyone thinks when he actually plays healthy. But he isn't good either.
