#Bears are working to sign former Saints DE Charles Grant, who is currently with the UFL's Omaha franchise.

WTF?

Why?

Is Charles Grant any better than Anderson?

Stupid, stupid move letting Alex Brown go and keeping T. Harris.

Although I do understand that since Peppers is being double & tripled teamed they expected other guys to produce more, but why would they focus on the D-Line instead of our horrible O-Line?

They are dumping Angelo's draft picks one by one.

And Mark Anderson signs with the Texans already. Great move dumping Alex Brown because they wanted to see Anderson play. Now we get to see a converted DT play DE for the rest of the year.

I guess it's time for Corey Wooton to show what he can do because this Grant signing better be for insurance purposes only.

Are you really going to start cutting offensive linemen? Sadly enough, there's nothing better out there. These guys need to man up and start playing some ball unless they literally want to see their QB get badly hurt.

Cliff Levingston's thoughts exactly, though Grant supposedly had a really good camp with Miami before being cut. Obviously it couldn't have been that good though!

Cliff, I didn't say cut. I said that we should FOCUS on the O-Line. I understand that our options are limited, but the F/O needs to do something.

If the Vikings can get Moss for a 3rd round pick & the Seahawks can get Lynch for peanuts, we can do SOMETHING about this horrible O-Line.

They could have gotten Trevor Pryce easily after he was cut also, and is better than Grant. A slew of poor decisions by the front office.

Disappointing that our coaches could never do anything with him. Uncoached he came in on fire - after coaching he became mediocre. I am surprised at the timing. Maranelli raved about him all summer but now he's not worth a half season to see what he can do. I just dont get this coaching sstaff and their talent analysis.

I'm not crying for Alex Brown - he's done nothing but mediocre this year.

so what's the total count now? my guesstimate is about 90% of players Angelo has drafted has been cut already.

Update from Houston:
Anderson will be a game-day inactive for the rest of the season unless someone ahead of him gets hurt. Got that straight from a Texans coach.

I see Grant got released. GIGO at work!
