this doesnt seem like it would happen, but i suppose if the vikings give up a ton of value in draft picks, why wouldnt the patriots do it?

anything to charm brett, right vikings?

if it would go down, i predict 1st rounder, or two 2012 draft picks

guess i was off

No way the Pats would get that much for Moss

That said, with the Vikings so desperate to at least get to the Super Bowl in hopes it helps their deep desire to get a new stadium, they probably would pay more for Moss than anyone else.

If there is any truth to this rumor, the Pats may end up being forced to trade Moss even if they aren't happy with the offers because it's hard to envision Randy just brushing off being shopped.

"The deal is being held up because Moss would have to sign an extension with the Vikings, according to the report. Contract talks have not even begun, a league source told Profootballtalk.com Tuesday night."

The NFL has to look into that if that is true. I'd think 15-20 teams would offer higher this time around.

This makes zero sense to me. Wouldn't the Patriots get a compensation 3rd rounder if they lose him via FA this offseason anyways?

I think the Vikings Window closed last year on Favre's Pick in the championship game but I think they still believe they are an elite team. Let them trade away more draft picks to keep Favre happy and gain little

I dont get it either. Maybe he's too much of a distraction that they've just decided to get rid of him now.

I'm betting they sign Ron Mexico in the offseason.

Vick, Peterson, Moss, Rice, Harvin.............fml

Its for a third rounder and is pending Moss' approval on the extension. Apparently its the same extension his camp proposed and was rejected by the Pat's. Looks like its a done deal. According to twitter.

I find it hard to believe that people aren't more bothered by this. When they get healthy, Moss/Rice/Harvin is probably the best receiving corps in the NFL. Couple that with a top 2 RB, if Favre has ANYTHING left in the tank they should be favorites to come out of the wide open NFC.

In one day, we've seen 2 conference (1 division) foe land Pro-Bowl (one a few years back admittedly) skill players for a 3rd and 4th picks respectively.

You're damn right I am. I'm rooting for all AFC teams to stay healthy to stop them in the Super Bowl.

Unreal. I'm in shock. You know for a fact they will go after Vick next offseason.
