The Jazz know and always have known AK-47 is best at PF position as it keeps him closer to the basket defensively where he can block some shots. He can also use his best asset his quickness on offense versus PFs which he cannot use at SF. The Jazz would be better with AK-47 at the PF and Millsap coming off the bench BUT...

Millsap should start at the PF position with AK-47 coming off the bench backing up both forward positions because Millsap already said he wants to start and will not be happy coming off the bench while AK-47 has said it doesnt matter even though all of us who played any sports know it does matter. So AK-47 has already thinks he might be coming off the bench so do that instead of ruining Millsap who might go into a shell if forced to come off the bench. Basically, for team chemistry it is a necessity now. I think Millsap could justify coming off the bench for Boozer at PF but not AK-47.
Top 4 seed in the West!!! Guaranteed!!!

AK happy and at his best >>> Sap happy and at his best. I strongly believe this. I love Sap and his heart and hustle, but AK is definitely a better basketball player.

Why have Price at 2 and AK at 1 when you have Watson?

more for having ak at the point and 3 big men up front. i guess you could insert any of the jazz wings at the 2. i think that lineup could cause a lot of problems for other teams. and could keep up defensively as well.

I read in the trib that Sloan said that AJ, Deron and Sap are locked into starting spots. AK's versatility is better off the bench. Have him sub for Sap off the bench, then move him to the 3 to start the 2nd with Sap at PF and Fes/Elson at the 5.

I didn't read that, but I agree.

Having AK come off the bench with the ability to handle the ball, and switch between the 2-4 depending on the line is fare more valuable then plugging him into a starting spot at the 4, when we have Millsap, Jefferson, and Elson who can all play the four legitimately.

Kirilenko is saying he wants to resign here with the Jazz... this makes me a very happy man. I say we start him..

Need more offense off the bench? Hmmm...why don't they just put Deron Williams on the bench. This seriously is the dumbest $hit I have heard. The we need more offense off the bench is a bs excuse to put Millsap on the pine again. It's not like teams sub out their entire starters all at once. I highly doubt there will be a time in a close game where the Jazz go without Al Jefferson, Paul Millsap, or Deron Williams on the floor at all. Even if Millsap starts, you can sub him out at the 6th minute mark, then have Millsap come back on with the bench unit. Seriously, this f'in bs.

I think this makes the most sense for you guys. For however good Jefferson is offensively, he's equally bad defensively, so pairing him with a good defender is a must. And while Millsap is far from bad, a Millsap Jefferson combo would either foul out regularly or give up a ton of points
Thank you for all the memories BRoy. You were a class act and brought hope to an entire region for 5 years. You will be missed.
