GB's secondary looked like crap last week so I think Moss should do OK. I like Clayton the most out of all 4 next week. I think Det-Stl turns into a shootout.

RBs is tougher. Definitely not Bell. Arizona's run D is pretty bad but I'd still prefer Jackson and Mcgahee over Ivory. I'd probably go Mcgahee just because he's got the best chance of scoring.

thanks. fred just got picked up by someone else so I think I'll roll with Mcgahee if PT is out

you messed up on the places the games will be held. Both LT and Torian play at home. I'd go LT. Also, for TE, I'd go Miller. SF looks horrid on offense

Bradshaw@ HOU, Best vs. STL, and T. Jones vs. IND (Bradshaw and Best are banged up)

Disgusting.

I don't really know what I was thinking honestly other than I am not very high on Torain and I like Spiller especially because of the return yards he will give me. Why I threw in Moss though is beyond me now that I am sober.

Probably the fact I hate him and don't really care, and I have Tate who is going to be a stud for me anyways(return yards, they are wonderful).

I am surprised you'd go with Stewart, but not that surprised seeing as how all three choices I listed are pretty awful. BYE weeks suck don't they?

If Cutler's healthy, Cutler. It doesn't sound good for him for this week though, so your decision might be made for you.

Pierre Thomas @ Arizona
or
Tolbert @ Oakland

Even if Thomas is healthy, I might be tempted to go with Tolbert for the high touchdown potential.

S. Holmes vs. Minny
or
Crabtree vs. Philly

Oof. I might have to go Crabtree, simply because this is Holmes' first week of practice in a month, and Sanche seems to like Edwards and Celek too much to look away this quickly. Don't love either option though.

Shady Franchise wrote:Let's ASSUME Andre Johnson and Pierre Thomas don't play this week (If they're playing they're a lock in).

Pick 3:

s moss vs GB
holmes vs MIN
clayton @ DET
sims walker @ BUF

Sit (or cut) Sims Walker. It's not that he can't be good. You will just NEVER know when. Also, Buffalo has been so unbelieveably horrible against the run (and has surprisingly good players in their secondary) that the Jags will just pound MJD into the ground all day.

Pick 1:

Ivory @ ARI
Fred Jackson vs JAX
Bell @ SF
Mcgahee vs DEN

Probably Jackson. If Thomas is out, it does sound like Ivory will get the bulk of the work next week - doesn't sound like Betts impressed the coaching staff last week. Denver's run defense is excellent, and Mike Bell really isn't a focal point in Philly - not much of a check down guy.

LApwnd wrote:Rice vs. Den

I might have to go McFadden if healthy, but I don't love benching any of those guys if you can help it...

ZedgetRedd wrote:LT at Minny or Torain at GB?

Leaning LT. LT does have the potential to get some receiving work, and he usually plays really well in primetime. Torain looks good, but is not a passing down back and Washington could find themselves down early in this one. I'd start Miller over Davis. Philly's secondary will take out Davis and force Smith to look to his WRs. SD was brutal against TEs last year and have really only faced one decent TE in Carlson so far (who has double digit points). Miller is the #1 option for Gradkowski, so I expect him to have a big day.

Bleeding Blue wrote:Pick 2

Best is automatic. He's banged up, but he's better than last week and he had over 80 yards against a much better D than the Rams (and that was a disappointing game for his standards). Bradshaw also sounds like he's good to go this week -- he's taking time off practice now so that he's ready to pay on Sunday. Still, I'm a bit worried that the game will be pass happy and Bradshaw doesn't go for anymore than 10 for 45 and maybe a score. Jones doesn't really excite me either though... Sorry, not much help. Wait and see what the word on Bradshaw is on Sunday morning. If he's not going to get the bulk of the work, go Jones.

RB/WR sit/start. 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 flex. Definitely starting Michael Turner and Jahvid Best. Here are my other options for flex and WR (Welker's bye week and Steve Smith South's injury couldn't have come in a worse week)

RB - Fred Jackson (v. JAX) or Shonn Greene (v. MIN)
WR - Jeremy Maclin (@SF), M. Williams (@CIN), Bowe (@IND)

Also, who would you go with at TE -- Witten (v. TEN) or Z. Miller (v. SD).

I'm leaning toward Jackson, Maclin, Bowe and Miller.

--- Related trade question ---
If I can trade Bowe for Beanie Wells, I should do that, right? The guy with Wells is desperate for a startable WR this week. He also has Ronnie Brown available to trade. I've offered Witten for Steve Smith North to another owner who has nothing at TE and a glut of WRs. If he says yes, then I'd feel much less hesitant about trading Bowe (who's just too inconsistent for my taste).

--- Related Pickup question ---
Currently have the Atlanta DST, on the road in Cleveland with Delhomme coming back. Should be a decent matchup, but should I be considering the Lions, Rams, Cowboys, Panthers (no Cutler?), or Texans? Any others out there who you guys see as sleepers?

Sit one (.5 PPR):

DeAngelo vs. Chi
Hillis vs. Atl
Addai vs. KC
Charles @ Indy

Leaning towards sitting either DeAngelo (Chicago isn't a great matchup) or Addai. Hillis is the only one I have locked in 100% because he's the only one of the 4 who's going to get 20 touches for sure.

The only position I'm still debating is: Dez Bryant vs. Eddie Royal. Leaning Royal.

Just picked up Torian since McFadden's out and Mendenhall's on bye.

Washington. Being a Jersey guy, I love Kenny but he isn't used as much as Washington is in their offense. Hester is really really inconsistent and I would rank Knox clearly above him, and Sims Walker is trash.

So here's the scoop for the weekend...my running backs are:

Michael Turner vs. Cleveland
Mike Tolbert vs. Oakland
Ryan Torain vs. Green Bay

Statistically, the Packers and the Raiders have worse rush defenses than Cleveland. And Michael Turners has had a crap season so far. All the experts are saying how Torain is a definite start this weekend. I'm leaning towards starting Tolbert and Torain...but what if Turner breaks out this weekend? :(

I need to start two.

I might go Williams. Chicago will focus on stuffing everything at the line, and if they can get to Clausen early and often, the Panthers could end up throwing a lot when they're down. Otherwise, I'd sit Charles. Hillis and Addai have no one taking touches away, so I think I'd be starting both.

Pharmcat wrote:who should i pick for my flex spot

Jackson. Not a Jones believer, especially with Indy at home (would it shock you if it was 17-0 early and they go to passing packages for 3 quarters?). You can run on Jacksonville, and Jackson is going to get at least 15 touches tomorrow.

Bac2Basics wrote:Pick 1 to sit

Mason. Philly is going to take away Davis, leaving Crabtree as the most available passing option. Moore is not sittable right now with the lack of NO's run game.

Jaruff wrote:The only position I'm still debating is: Dez Bryant vs. Eddie Royal. Leaning Royal.

I'd go Bryant. Finnegan will be blanketing Austin, and Bryant has had at least 50 yards in every game so far I think. Royal has been a possession machine, but I think this is the week that the Broncos passing attack fizzles out.

wetsthebed wrote:One to start:

Washington or Britt (Gage is out, and Dallas will try to stuff the run). Hester and Sims-Walker are too unreliable. I might play a huinch and go Britt, since he's gotten the TDs in the last two weeks.

I'd sit Torain, but I'm a bit risk averse. He's looked good in limited touches, but can you bank on a Shanahan RB getting 20 touches? Tolbert might not either, but it sounds like he's still going to get the bulk of the work for SD until they're certain that Mathews is fully ready to take over (which is not the case yet). I can't bench Turner -- he hasn't been great, but he's not going to crap the bed on you either.
