The Jazz have an excellant mix of veteran experience but not old veterans. Dwill, Millsap, Miles and Jefferson are experienced but still have young legs.
While I agree about OKC, Portland acquired Andre Miller and Marcus Camby (to the existing Joel Przybilla) to be the "sufficient veteran experience" and complement the "experienced but young legs" of all of the young players, Wesley Matthews included, who have playoff experience.

Thanks for letting us get Matthews by the way. He's looked outstanding thus far and is more versatile than was our common perception.

Here's to a competitve and injury free game on Thursday

Unfortunately it's only preseason and coaches are going to mess around with a bunch of different looks and give people opportunity to play that mean nothing when season actually starts. So while I'm looking forward to seeing the Portland vs Utah series this year, this game means nothing. I don't care if we win by 50 or lose by 50 it still does nothing to excite or intrigue me about final score. I am interested to see how different players are fitting into our system, and I would like to see Matthews working a different system. But competitively it does nothing for me.

A Blazer fan showing up here saying "thanks for letting us get Matthews" will not likely be viewed as taking the "high road" by most Jazz fans.

Utah could have matched the offer to Matthews. I think the offer was too high but Utah did indeed let Portland have him. My comment wasn't meant to be taunting although I can understand how it would be perceived as such. Bad judgement on my part but it hardly merits hoping that all of our players break their legs.

No, not the tingly's!!! hahahahaha

Hey, how's the health of your team this year? Is Okafor still out? What about AK47? Anybody else? Unfortunately for Portland, our 3-headed center monster has no legs right now so the Blazers will probably be a little undersized against Utah tonight (unless Camby decides to play - groin).

I'm hoping for a better series this coming season than the boys had last season.

No idea on Okafor.

Okur is probably out until December or January. I think privately that the Jazz aren't counting on meaningful minutes from him until February at the earliest.

Otherwise I think everyone is healthy.
