That sounds more like my man. Now use it to go off next game Gil or atleast against Orlando on opening night

Not everything I would want to hear but easily as much or more than I would expect from Gil after everything that has happened. All of this has been really emotionally hard on everyone.

Again, once he tastes some success and fun with Wall and the team, we may actually hear even better from him.

I'll be happy when the talk of whose team is it ends. I see this as more than just Walls team.
This is Drays team also. And for now, this is Gils team also. Wall is doing the right thing. He isn't saying it is his team. Wall is talking like it is A TEAM. That one of the things I like about Wall.

All this talk of it being Walls team is not fair to Dray. I get why people are pushing Gil out of that picture for right now but Dray has earned some respect.

I see this as Dray, Wall and Gils team. I think Wall sees it that way also.

That's an interesting thought. I really hadn't considered Blatche but they did just commit to him longterm and I believe he's the second longest tenured Wizards after Gil. I still have my doubts about him, though. I'm convinced that he can produce consistently but I'm not sure he's ready (or even cut out for) a leadership role. Wall is younger and newer to the league, but I trust him with that responsibility infinitely more than I trust Blatche.

Yeah, I agree Wall is the cleaner slate. He is the #1 pick. His saying all the right things and doing all the right things. I get that is the easier way to go to say this is Walls team. But this who's team it is has a lot to do with marketing. Who is the best combination of talent and reputation and hope. Who can you put in front of the mic as a player who can speak for the team. I guess Gil wasn't so good at that. He was funny or goofy or whatever you call it but Gil is no McNabb or Kobe or MJ in front of a mic.

but...

Dray was pretty much the team last year as far as stud talent goes. Dray is only what..24 Dray has put in 2 solid summers and turned into 7 DD two years ago. He has been steeping up as a leader on this team starting last year when they needed to lean on him. And as you said he just extended his contract without even having an agent before he needed to. I think that deal worked well for both sides but its not like he held out for the max contract and kept the club in the dark. Both side showed dedication and commitment to each other and the team. And Dray has actually gotten it done against the best talent in this league when there was little else to draw the other teams attention.

This .. who's team it is can be a complicated thing to get into words. Wall is the best face of the team.

Dray is a core piece for sure regarding level of talent but Wall is the better front man. Dray still needs to grow more before he will be seen as that person. Haywood got better interviewing over time.

Whos team is it vs who are the core most valuable proven pieces when it comes to winning in the NBA.

The answer to the first is Wall.
The answer to the second is Dray, Gil, and probably Kirk.

I have little doubt he Wall will produce in the NBA. I would have added him to that list but couldn't since hasn't played an NBA game yet.

Fans need to send an open letter to the Post. Wilbon's hatred of Sean Taylor and now Gilbert Arenas make me wish the guy would go "write" somewhere else.
Bye bye Beal.

Wow, according to Michael Lee, Josh Howard is progressing much better than anyone thought.

yea I'm growing tired of Wilbon, he tries to act like he supports teams in DC but all of his allegiance is to the Bulls

Sounds like a reverse of the curse. Blatche came back earlier than expected, and now the optimistic news about Howard... This never happens to us.

It will be very interesting to see if they let Gil play on a back to back but its Preseason so they may just sit guys anyways. I think they will want to see Wall vs Rose, McGee vs Noah, and Kirk against his former team moreso than anything else

this will be a good barometer to see how wall stacks up against athletic guards. More wins even in the pre-season is good for us. We need to establish a winning culture. Arenas sure as hell is gonna help us do that. Wilbon and wilson can **** a horse cock.

I actually hope Flip starts everyone again tomorrow because most of the times when teams have a game like we did today and still win, they will look way better the next day. I think we will look great if Flip plays everyone. I think both Wall & Gil will have great games along with Dray

Last year Rose had something like 12 games with 9 or more assists. He had only one game with three or more steals (pathetic for someone with his athleticism really).

Wall is 2 for 2 in each category in the preseason. I think he will be a better PG than Rose, offensively and defensively, this year. Rose certainly will be the better scorer.

I don't know how Wall managed to go 0-9 against that Cleveland "defense" but hey atleast he racked up some assists. I hope tomorrow's game will have a stream.

Hollinger gas something as his official forecast, but it's insider....

The header is: There Is Hope For The Wizards

So, I guess he doesn't think our guys are vying for placement amongst the worst teams of all time like that much ballyhooed blog projection.
