He's playing the same way he was as if he was his peak which led to his expected poor performance. He was doing spin moves and drives to the hoop when he should have been less physical and more finesse moves like using hook shots or finding positions to do short range jumpers rather than banging inside with dwight or gortat. But with Yao's workrate, he will probably get back to his usual self when the season starts. Courtney Lee looked good, but he's quite similar offensively to ariza..(maybe a better defender). Offensively, he's a chucker and it doesn't look like his shot is clutch and is very similar in ariza.

Lee shoots way better than Ariza

He's kinda good, huh?

Clyde's protestations to the contrary, everyone did not look good. And Dwight Howard was the perfect barometer for exactly how good they didn't look. That dude is stupid crazy talented. (Yes, I'm exhausted. I'll go with "stupid crazy" when I damn well feel like it.)

Few notes:

- I was right about Courtney Lee, 3 years ago. Eat me.
- Scola's shot will return soon enough. Nothing to stress over.
- Did the Rox actually intend to start 1/2 their plays from the deep baseline corner? That was dumb. Took an extra 5 seconds to get out of the jams they put themselves into by starting from a self-enforced trap.
- Budinger looked cocky and I kinda wanted to slap him.
- I like Hill's 1on1 defense.
- Somebody should invite Jeffries to dinner and give him cookies. Out of pity.
