Please Kobe. Take it easy on the hard courts. Your only 60% there. We need you 100% very soon.

I always wanted JCN to play for the Lakers. Memphis killed it for everyone.

yeah Navarro is a Hooper!

As for his depart from Memphis I remember the reason was because the Pau trade to the Lakers.

Once Pau left Navarro was done with America.
Pau was the only reason why he came to play in the U.S.

So bring JCN to the Lakers.

I remember him not being thrilled with his role. Same thing happened to Sarunas Jasikevicius.

Navarro spent millions to buyout his European contract only to get a 400K salary on the Grizzles because they didn't clear any capspace. Unless he has a huge change of heart since then he won't come back given how bitter he felt.

I don't think so in Navarro´s case. He always plays awesome vs NBA players and he also scored 11 ppg being rookie, alone, speaking no english and having to score as a spot up 3-pont specialists, wich is not his game. In an awful greedy players-packed Memphis team.

Navarro needs the ball, just like Iverson did. Small guy running the court off and on the ball, takes defenses with him and shoots after a fake move, cuts for the lob shot or assists.

Imagine Navarro and Mickeal as SF comig from the bench on this Lakers? Navarro just destroys Sasha, and Mickeal is one of those rare usa talented players that make his living on european bball as true stars.

thats an accomplishment now? and he didn't destroy jack ****, all he did was CHUCK a whole bunch of shots and made a few, thats why he didn't make it here, he wants to play like a star player taking as much shot as he wants, if he were in the NBA doing that he be on the bench ASAP and Mickeal is a star there but nothing more then a role player here, that doens't really speak much volume for his case. Anthony Parker was top player (MVP) over there when he came over he was nothing more then a solid role player.

What I mean is he could be a great backup Sg for Kobe and is far superior than Shannon and Shasha.
Jack?....please. Did you ever see jack winning games? Navarro is been doing that since 16 years old at pro level. Yes, even vs NBA all star level players.
You need the guts to be a star. That's what i meant. He might be small and tiny, doesn't look really strong or fast, but he is SO smart and great shooter. Lakers only have Kobe and Fisher with this kind of clutch ability. And Fish is not a regular scorer as Navarro.

On european level...playing in Europe is pretty different than playing NBA bball. Is Navarro a worldwide star? Indeed. How many games vs NBA stars has to take over to show? He always excels and noone can deny that. He only played one season in NBA and made 11ppg off the bench as specialist. How many point does average just about ANYONE coming of the BENCH in his ROOKIE season on a SELFISH team like Memphis was?

Jennings was rookie of the year candidate and he was a benchwarmer for an average team in Europe the year before. His individually oriented style didn't fit on european team-oriented game.

We watch just about any NBA game just as you do...and besides just about any european game, unlike many people in the US.
I've been living in Long Island for several years, so I know what i'm talking about when I say it gets hard to watch european bball there.
This generation of European players have been growing up watching same bball as you did, this is a globalized world. Only difference with NBA stars being mostly Physique. But that's another story.

You need some perspective, my friend. Watch more european bball and you'll start apreciating team oriented game at it's best. Everybody scores, defends and shoots from outside, the balls always moves to find best option. TEAM. NCAA basketball is crap compare to euroleague or ACb league and you'll probably love the march madness, don't you?

Sorry about this long text anyway.

well I'm sure Euro League is enjoyable to watch in terms of team play, but thats not the discussion, the discussion is Navarro wasn't as good as he thought he would be coming over here. Euro league is pretty much drive kick and shoot, thats is exactly what they do, mixed in with post game here and there. Guys like Spanulious, Sarunas Jack (sp last name) jsut to name a few all thought they were some big time ballers coming over here and realized their game just isn't good enough for NBA. Which what we are discussing, Navarro would've been a decent backup but like most Mem fans have agreed, his size and D was a problem and sure he avg. 11 but someone had to be passing him the ball to get to that 11 so how do you even generalize it was a team of ball hogs? He was bench player so when he came in probabably Gay was the one that hogged it, he most likely subbing in for OJ.
