I'd like to share this gem with you all. Courtesy of the Knicks board.

That's hilarious.

Re: Random Thoughts Thread
According to demens there is nothing funny about it and he doesn't see any irony in the situation.

Re: Random Thoughts Thread
You're putting too much emphasis on the words. Offensive positions dont matter anymore, just cause you're a PG doesn't mean you're running the team. Lee can guard PGs so he can play PG, Twitt cant guard PG so he will never be a PG.

Re: Random Thoughts Thread
Lee's handle, playmaking ability and passing are terrible, he can't play point guard.
Could Raja Bell play point guard at any point in his career?
Sure he can guard some point guards, that still doesn't mean he can play point guard, especially with an emphasis on offense.

I'm only disagreeing with what you mean when you say "play point guard". To me this doesn't mean he needs to run the offense, call plays, set up sets, or bring the ball up, it just means he is at the 1 spot and as long as he can guard whoever is at the 1 spot on the other team he can play pg. Would you have a problem with Lee starting at PG for the Heat for example?

Re: Random Thoughts Thread
The Heat are the most extreme example on the spectrum, anybody that can defend and hit open 3's can play point guard for them, as long as they can literally bring the ball up the court successfully and with that said I don't think Lee can bring the ball across the halfway mark on any given possession, his handle is outright that terrible for a guard. Regardless, sure, he could play point for the Miami Heat, but don't see your point of relevance in this spot.
I'll say it like this, I would have a major problem with Lee starting at point guard for the Hawks, Blazers and even have a small beef with him starting for the Lakers.
That's literally the only two teams in the NBA that could get away with Lee starting at the point, the Heat and Lakers and even then, it's a bad idea, especially during the playoffs when teams are going to full court press in critical situations when you may not have the luxury and ability to make a substitution.

Re: Random Thoughts Thread
No one is talking about him starting at PG. All this from the Rockets trying him at pg during pre-season practice? Tons of teams try guys out at new positions this time of the year, dont see that as a reason to laugh.
Lee can get spot minutes at PG for any team that has a playmaker at any position beside the 1. And that goes beyond any extremes like Lakers or Heat. Again, all that would be required is for him to be capable of guarding the opposing PG which he is more then capable of. Rockets see a good player in Lee so they are looking at ways to get give him more minutes since he is due to come off the bench. Doing that is SMART, even if that includes trying him out at pg in camp. There is nothing laughable there at all. They have a starting PG already, a good one, and they have a good backup pg who they just extended to a huge deal. They are not trying to replace them with Lee if thats what you were thinking.
And on top of that, Houston is a well run franchise with one of NBAs top coaches. I say if he thinks its worth a try then he knows a hell of a lot then any of you and your

And on the Rockets who would that be?? Kevin Martin?? Shane Battier?? oh you mean Scola!
Sure he's be fine playing pg for the heat since he wouldn't even be handling the ball with lebron and Wade there.. but he's on the rockets who have no playmakers at the 2 or 3.. so your whole argument about being able to play PG next to a playmaking wing is irrelevant.
I just because Rick Adelman is an excellent coach, doesn't mean everyone should/will agree with every decision he makes. I saw Lee the whole year and I'm being quite honest when I say that he is without a doubt one of the worst passing guard I have ever seen. So yeah, it is laughable that they're trying him out at PG even if it is for only 5 minutes a game, they don't have a play maker at the 2 with Martin or 3 with Battier.. in those 5 minutes the ball movement on that team will cease to exist.

Actually you were and that was the reason I started discussing him in the role as a starting point guard.
Just sayin'...

Yeah, because this whole conversation has been about Lee starting for the Heat and not Houston trying Lee at PG in training camp.

Well no, actually it hasn't, which is why it is facepalm central when reading your posts.
Dude, I have said it before and I will say it again, and again, and again, and again, the best words to describe you are obtuse and contradictory.
