top 7 looks ok for us. beyond there's just more forwards and wings that we don't really need.

it was inevitable, that's why I found it funny when people just sited his 9th place ranking as a reason to say he might not be that good without realizing that DX doesn't really scout highschoolers.

I'm really interested to see how fab melo progresses at syracuse over the season. Getting a 7 footer on a big frame like his is exactly what you hope for when you've got a top 5 pick. Now hopefully he becomes something more than a thabeet clone

For the Center spot I think Kanter is going to be up there as well.

Duke actually features a supportable roster this year, primarily because of Kyrie Irving and Seth Curry. The latter could actually make some noise in the scoring department and Kyrie Irving is self-explanatory. I'm afraid Irving could go as high as 2nd depending on the type of season he has, as I think Perry Jones is a bit overrated and raw, lacking in overall game.

the pg position is a priority for next year so drafting a center is not what we need..

I'd say the center position is just as important, probably more. We have seen championship teams get by without the greatest PG but rarely do you see championship teams without a defensive guy in the middle to anchor the D.

Is there really a guy in this draft at the C who is a game changer defensively though? This draft is full of wings, and I haven't really seen much of Valanciunas to form an opinion of him. Motiejunas is way too soft/Bargs-like and Kanter probably isn't athletic enough to match up with most guys playing C in the NBA.

When it comes to post defense / weakside rotations you don't really need to be all that athletic. At the PF spot, sure, but not the C spot. What he needs to have is size / reach / IQ.

i`m not sayin we don`t need a center.but that could be done if Bryan somehow acquires MARC GASOL in a sign and trade in the summer..but at the draft we badly need a pg..of course if we have a chance at BARNES OR JONES U TAKE THAT AND run

Almost all of those teams had elite wings who assumed the primary ballhandling responsibilities though. If DeRozan is our future at the 2 then a PG is going to be top priority.

It's better to draft the BPA over position priority.

Simply trade the worst player of the two, to fill the whole in another position.

Selby and Kanter looking like the two most intriguing players in what should be our draft range, maybe Motiejunas too.

Chad Ford says best draft prospect is Barnes, slightly ahead of Jones, but that Jones because of his size has a bit more upside. Those are Chad's words so I'm not sure what he means.

I'm guessing it just means that Jones has better physical attributes while Barnes is a better basketball player.
