I wonder what the conditions are on the pick in '12.

Still no RB and TT is still a joke like always. Not asking him to blow the farm on a RB but throwing away the season when we were legit supe rbowl contenders b4 all the injurys, and a solid RB will put us right back up there.

Our GM who builds teams that are Super Bowl contenders is a joke.

Makes (no) sense.

How many super bowls and playoff games have the Packers won under TT?

Packers have no shot at going to the super bowl with the current roster. They won't even win the division or take one game against the Vikings.

Agreed, probably because of the ridiculous amount of injuries we have suffered already.

TT cannot be bashed as a team building GM. He has one of the best eyes for talent in the league. A guy who brings in Aaron Rodgers, Clay Matthews, Jermichael Finley, Greg Jennings, B.J. Raji, etc. cannot be "a joke". Calling TT a joke is a joke.

Now, his stubbornness when it comes to adding proven talent to put his teams over the top is what deserves to be criticized. Everyone knows that already, and I hope TT makes a splash either before the trade deadline or in the offseason to shut all of us up.

He is a very good General Manager who could be a great one if he made the necessary trades/signings that it takes to win Super Bowls.

I can list a bunch of very good players any GM in the NFL brought in the last 5 years. I would put TT and the Packers as a top 10 team for drafting. And I would put TT at the bottom for everything else.

I would like to see you build a list of star players brought in team-by-team since Thompson took over the Packers. I would be willing to bet that we are in the top 5.

Who is going to compete with:

Rodgers, Finley, Woodson, Jennings, Matthews, Grant, Williams, Sitton, Collins, Raji, Jenkins, Pickett?

The Falcons, maybe? The Jets? The Saints? Maybe the Vikings?

Ted no doubt has done a great job bringing in some blue chipper type of players, but i sure wouldn't include Grant, Pickett, or Raji. Tramon is still on the bubble for me. Jenkins was brought in by Sherman i believe.

Grant certainly has been underrated by many Packer fans since he arrived, but he's a good/solid back, nothing special.

Pickett is a quality NT and great signing by Ted, but he's in the next tier below the elite ones

Raji may eventually join that group of elite nose tackle, but flashing moments of special abilities isn't enough so far.

Williams has been a very high quality nickle back for a couple of years, but when needed to start a few times over those years, he had some struggles. So far this year he has played fabulous, but it is only four games. Hopefully he keeps it up and if so, it's great timing for him because then a big payday will be in order.

Westbrook sounds unhappy in SF. I wonder if he could be had for a low draft pick. He is 31 and definitely susceptible to injury but maybe he could be had for a 6th or something. If so, he would be a great fit in our offense if TT and MM think he has anything left.

At least two teams have called Carolina about the availability of RB DeAngelo Williams. Panthers told each one, They're not trading him.

Just read the WT headline about the Raiders being open to a firesale. If true I'd try to swoop in and get guys like Run DMC or Bush and maybe Richard seymour on the cheap. Maybe even Zach Miller. They've got a lot of talented guys but even world beaters look like turds in Oakland. I'm really interested to see who would be available and for how much.
