are we glad Boozer is gone? or what?
Fishy story of how boozer had injury. Maybe something to do wiih pending divorce! I sure am glad we don't have his side story stuff around anymore. I'm hoping this is gonna be a healthy year in all ways for the Jazz. I like what i see so far!!!

I hope you're not implying he popped her. Boozer doesn't love the game as much as we'd like, but he's always seemed like a decent guy.

No, we are a better team with Boozer than we are Jefferson. The divorce was filed for on August 13, according to a link posted on the general board, so it's unlikely they were together. Story is definitely fishy, but he said he tripped over a bag 'in the dark'. Being in the dark validates his story a little more. Why didn't he turn the light on though????? HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM?

Crazy story--do hands break like that when you trip and fall? I'm just glad that the Boozer drama is in someone else's team rather than the Jazz.

It would be extremely hard to break the 5th metacarpal like that from falling over a bag. I broke mine a long time ago, punching a wall ( just another angry teenager ). If I had to put my money on anything it's that he did something similar. The story seems so fabricated in that it's so cliché yet you really can't disprove it.
Whatever though. Divorces can be rough, and with his history of injuries I might have made up a story too.

I agree that its highly unlikely Booz sustained his injury as the result of tripping. In that case, a person has his hand outstretched in order to catch himself with his palm hitting the floor first. Seems tough to break your 5th metacarpal that way. However, its easy to break it hitting a wall, or like I did as a teenager, a door.
I also like the Jazz much better with Al in place of Boozer. I seriously doubt anyone will ever question the validity of an injury he sustains, and he's a hell of a player. What's more, even in granting Boozer the benefit of the doubt in assuming every game he's sat out has truly been necessary, it also acknowledges his remarkably poor record of durability. The Jazz, or any team, cannot afford one their two best players to skip so many games. I'll just say that it will be interesting to see how this turns out long term for Chicago.
For the Jazz, I think the Boozer era ended in a manner close to what would have to be considered the best case scenario.

One can only imagine how loud he yelled when he hit the wall.

Re: are we glad Boozer is gone? or what?
I wanted Boozer gone 2-3 years ago. I think team chemistry will be much better as Im not too sure Boozer-Dwill got along that well. Defense will be better by his subtraction as well.
In regards to the hand break, happens in family law issues all the time. Guy gets mad at woman, guy hits wall instead of woman. Im not sure that would void his contract but even if it could, i doubt Bulls would even consider voiding it unless extremely serious injury.

Lol, Boozer's wife waited until he signed another fat contract so she could really pwn him in the divorce.

Glad the douchebag is off our team. I dont wish him any malice. I was happy he helped us out a bit by getting us that TPE. But aside from that, I thought he was a douchebag while he was here and nothing has changed that opinion.....

I hope boozer heals quickly and has a great season for the bulls, but wouldnt it be funny if when Chicago comes to Utah, the team has a promotional giving away bags.

Haven't we yet learned the folly of trusting the media without question? The whole thing is a fabrication. Boozer's not Vlad Radmanovic or Monta Ellis - he has a brain.
To answer the question as unrelated to this BS: yes, I'm glad we might now have the paint defense he couldn't provide.

I for one think his departure is addition by subtraction even before Jefferson was signed, with Jefferson I think the Jazz hit one out of the park.
As far as the broken hand........Please, he punched something. Glad that guy is gone.

Re: are we glad Boozer is gone? or what?
This story reminded me of the Brandon Marshall (current Miami Dolphin and former Denver Bronco) story from two years ago. He accidentally "slipped" on a McDonalds bag and cut an artery in his arm when he put it through a TV screen. Very fishy indeed, but Boozer is no longer the Jazz FO's problem.
