Dexter praising the **** out of C.Lee. Its too early to put a label on it but there is a good chance that by the end of the season a lot of people will realize what a dumb ass move it was to choose Morrow and Twitt over Lee.

Courtney Lee is a role player.. just like Morrow and T-Will. None of these guys are stars nor will they ever be.

Courtney Lee excels at defense.

Anthony Morrow excels at 3 point shooting.

T-Will is excels at passing and versatility.

If Courtney Lee ends up being better (which i doubt) I swon't lose any sleep because these guys are all replaceable.

Most of the people on the board are pretty delusional about Twitt being a star. Morrow excels at 3 point shooting and sucks at defense, Lee excels at defense and is a good 3 point shooter.

Anyway, did you catch those back to back alleyoops between Lee and Budinger? I didnt know Lee could get up that high, that was sick, the guy is athletic. That early season injury really **** his year up.

I'd put my sig on it.

Can Lee wind up the better player this year and maybe career wise? Sure. Absolutely.
Will he ever be so good that it was a dumb ass move to choose him over Morrow and T Will. No way.

Point is that we chose to trade a better player and kept 2 guys that are not as good. That cant be anything but a dumb move. Thats if Lee goes on to prove he is a better player like i think he is, not jumping to conclusions yet.

He has a very legitimate shot to be a star IMHO.

So don't jump to conclusions. Lee is a role player and I don't think he is better then either of the other two and even if he is, like Jeff said, not losing any sleep over it, he won't be that much better anyway, we're not talking about Rip Hamilton or Micheal Redd here, we're talking about prime Raja Bell basically as his ceiling.

Aaron Afflalolol is better then Courtney Lee for Christ sakes...

I actually like Afflalo, and was hoping he would be included in the deal when there was trade talks for Melo. He would be a nice replacement for Lee, but i would not say he is better.

Whether you think Lee or Afflalolol is better isn't the point, what is, is that either of these guys are dime a dozen shooter/defender role players that only look good in stacked lineups because they're so limited offensively they can only be efficient and effective when they are getting wide open looks and when not asked to do anything else.

I still would have preferred we held off on the Murphy trade but I was hoping Lee would be traded no matter what. He didn't want to be here anyway. He was a big headed, whiny bitch.

At draft time what I had really wanted us to do was either trade Lee for a pick in the teens, or have combined him with our 27th for a very late lotto pick with my eye on a few replacements...

You're talking about Twitt here? Cause otherwise that is complete nonsense. Nets fans have been throwing around this bs all year when in fact Lee never opened his mouth not one time and complained and he never acted like he didnt wanna be hear on the court either, no sulking, no taking plays off, no bitching to the media. And God knows we had plenty of big headed, whiny **** that did all of that so there is actually something to contract his behavior with.

I swear, dont know if its just because there aren't a lot of Nets fans to begin with but it seems like someone randomly starts some asinine idea and it just snowballs out of control and everyone just runs with it. Nobody passes or calls plays for poor Brook is another example of this ridiculousness.

Really?!
I'm not making this **** up, you are.
Lee was complaining his ass off to the media all offseason and a chunk of the season, then he shut his mouth for awhile and then ran it again a couple times later in the year.
He had a "I don't give a ****" attitude in a lot of post game interviews as well.

I'm not saying he was an unchangeable cancer or anything, but he certainly didn't want to be here, it was pretty obvious.

And your disingenuous ignorance to how Brook was used last season is laughable at best.
I know you're still going to relentlessly hate on him this season too even though dude is quickly becoming one of the flatout best offensive big men in the game.

Lee looks good in Houston they're using him right- off the bench. I'm happy for him.

It just didn't work out with him here.
TWill's the better player between the two and they chose him to come off the bench and traded for a better scorer in Morrow.

On a side note, Ishmael Smith was impessive. A quick, pass first point guard who wasn't drafted.
The Nets should snatch him up if he's not signed to a contract.

I liked Ish in summer league happy for him that he made to to camp with the Rockets and now showing he certainly belongs in the NBA. Even brought up a old thread from the summer where someone is talking **** about him.

Only thing that the media ever got their hands on was Dwight talking ****, there was never anything other then that and reporters speculations and assumptions, "ohh he got traded from a finals team to the NJ swamp. the shithole of all shitholes, he must hate his life now". Now i would be impressed with your mindreading skills based on his demeanor last year, but ill let you in on a little secret. NOONE wanted to be here last year. Even the ones that said they did like Kenyon Dooling hated every second of that season. I think how they handled that empathy is more important, and Lee handled it as good as anyone on the team. Again, there is more then 1 example of others who handled it very differently.....like whiney bitches.
